River Lea. In the background you can see the London Stadium, the main stadium for the 2012 olympics. It is now the home ground for West Ham United and British Athletics. Architect: Philip Johnson. Date: 2012. To the left is the ArcelorMittal Orbit, an observation tower which is said to be the largest piece of public art in Britain. Designed by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond. Date: 2012. In 2016 a tunnel slide was added to the tower, designed by Carsten Höller, it is said to be the longest slide in the world. There is also the option to abseil down the tower. Nearest station: Stratford International.

The room was quiet but needs to be updated . The bedsheets were clean, the TV worked, the bathrooms were terribly small. The barn door to the bathroom did not work properly and it was right across from our bed. The front desk staff was helpful. The housekeeping service was okay. It took 30-45 mins for an iron and a bottle of water. The lobby was beautiful. If they renovated the rooms like the lobby, I would come back.
