"Great view seaside view with the calming sound of the waves breaking onto the shore. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in setting us in and providing recommendations for our travel around Cinque Terre. Room is simple but cozy. Everything works but the air conditioner definitely needs some cleaning/servicing."

"Great proximity to the marina and the train station. Unfortunately- we were there during the off season so half of the shops and restaurants were closed... which was a real bummer but even the restaurants that were open, didn't have a lot of patronage so I understand. We had a room with a view and the only bummer about it was that it was right next to the office which can be a little noisy during the day. Otherwise- the owners were great and the facility was very hospitable in meeting us at the train station. Would recommend! "

"This was an excellent choice for a place to stay in La Spezia. I am so happy that i booked this hotel. The decor was modern. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. Even the people staying at the hotel were friendly. The breakfast was great as well amd had a good variety of food to choose from. The room was comfortable and I had a huge balcony. I love being near clock towers and this room didn't disappoint! It is walkable to the train station and just about everything else in La Spezia. If you need a place to stay, The Poet Hotel is it! For the people who talk about the strong fragrance, this is a large reed diffuser that is located in the stairwell. It was noticable outside the room, but definitely not in my room. "

"The most amazing view from our room!! The room was small but we didn't spend much time there. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would stay here again in a heart beat!"

"The property is about a 10 minute walk through the tunnel then up the street to number 99. The little balcony overlooking the street was a nice touch. There is no elevator and you are going up 3 flights of stairs to the room, so plan ahead for your stay and pack accordingly. Maddy met us at the room to make sure we had a good feel for 5 Terre and the area. Very glad we stayed in 5 Terre. "

"We enjoyed our stay in Riomaggiore! Such a quaint town! The check in instructions were very thorough. We loved sitting on the two balconies and watching the sunset! Lots of stairs to work off all the gelato! Go see the castle with amazing views!"
