"Overall the property was very well kept, clean and tidy. The bedrooms have a really relaxing feel with very comfortable beds, the shower room was lovely and warm and working exactly as it should, these are probably the most important things for us when we book a stay away, a good shower to help relax and a great nights sleep, and the owners have got that perfect here. The only thing we felt wasn't ideal for the dark winter was the living room light is on a censor and switches on when it detects the slightest movement and the lights are very bright, we had to hang a scarf over the sensor to stop it turning on while we relaxed and watched TV with the non lit room being a lot more cosy! a lamp not as bright as the main lights would be a great addition. The cottage is situated down a very quiet secluded county lane, you're surrounded entirely by countryside views and peaceful bliss, however Whitby is only a few minutes car journey away, there is plenty of places to visit nearby, it's a great location. We would definitely stay again and likely will. "

"The cottage is compact, but every inch of space is used to the maximum to make it a very comfortable, cosy place to base yourself. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. The living area is tiny, but with a comfy sofa and armchair is fine to hang out in. The stairs are very steep, especially to the attic bedroom (come down in reverse and use the rope provided!) Ideal for a family with younger children (who will love the attic bedroom), but I managed to negotiate the stairs as a reasonably fit and active grandma😁 The cottage is at the bottom of the hill, very ancient for the beach and main village."
