"Great property and wonderful hostess. Very responsive and friendly. This property is right on the beach, which is wonderful for hearing the waves and enjoying the sunset. I would not recommend this property though for folks that like to sleep in. It’s pretty noisy as others have mentioned because it is next-door to the rental shop which opens at 8 AM. The master bedroom is a foam mattress. The couch bed was pretty uncomfortable as most of them are. Worked OK for our 10 year old, but wouldn’t be appropriate for anyone older. Very great neighborhood and location. Pretty terrible parking though. Not enough spots for as many condos as there are. Great pool, but it is a bit of a walk from this unit. There is parking by the pool, however. Amazing beach!"

"We enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony, maybe that was the VIP status, but it was perfect for our family. We loved the location, private beach for sunrise walks and the staff was awesome for check in, offering suggestions and providing beach chairs and an umbrella. The location was better than expected with walking distance to everything even a Jojo’s shaved ice and tons of restaurants. I’d prefer to stay here for a more laid back local feel than in Poipu with every tourist at the beach. "

"A beautiful family friendly resort with great amenities. Amazing sunrises each morning, and close by some great beaches. Definitely will consider staying here again when we revisit Kauai."

"The location is the best part about this hotel. Within walking distance of a dozen restaurants and bars. Service was fine; we checked in and the guy at the front simply handed me a couple of bracelets and said to enjoy my stay (I had to ask if he wanted my Bonvoy number and I figured out when I got tot he door of my hotel room that my bracelet was also the key). All the chairs around the pool are taken by 10:30 (perhaps they should get a few more). Nice music in the evenings at the bar. Wish they would have made up our room one day when we’re left at 10 but they never came by. Would recommend, but have the appropriate expectations. ☺️"

"I enjoyed my stay at the Aston Islander. The property is well maintained and right on the ocean. There are number of dining and shopping options within walking distance. I especially liked the Happy hour at the bar by the pool — good place to talk to fellow travelers. The room itself was in pretty good shape but could use some touch up paint. The bed could have been better located — it was directly under the AC unit. Overall, I recommend and I’d stay here again. "
