Very beautiful house and location
We had a great time in Saint Martin de Castillon. The house was really nice and clean. The terrace view is amazing and the location was perfect for exploring the region. Check in and check out was simple. We really enjoyed our time here!

Charming, quirky townhouse in fabulous location
This house is a treat - spacious, very personal decor, everything working well, kitchen well equipped, fabulous mountain view from the top floor terrace, friendly and helpful neighbours. Village itself lovely, very laid back and quiet and a great location for trips into the surrounding area.

Fabulous house in pretty village
The house was just great - quirky and full of character. It’s on 3 levels (four if you count the basement) and the top floor has a roomy balcon where you have swifts for company and glorious views over the Grand Luberon. There’s a decent grocery store in the village and a very pleasant cafe/bar. Can highly recommend both house and village but beware the church bells which chime on the hour & half-hour, day and night.

The Luberon at it's Best!
St. Martin is a small village in the Luberon, not yet overrun with Tourists. The house is very charming with many accents and great amenities. Everything worked well with the owner as well as caretaker being more than accommodating. All rooms were well equipped and left nothing missing. Large living room, multiple bedrooms, separate dining room and a good kitchen. The house can easily be a candidate for one of your best vacations ever. It was for us. Merci Christophe et Mr. Montagnier!

Spacious and cool
This property is fully equipped and has plenty of space. The location of the property means it remains cool even on hot days. The village has plenty of character and yet is not too busy. The local bar is very welcoming and the village shop well supplied with fresh bread and other essentials. Several other beautiful villages are a short drive away. The town of Apt is worth a visit too. There is plenty of hiking close by, some from the village and some in the Luberon, which can be seen in the marvellous view from the roof terrace of the property. The host Christophe stayed in good touch with us and was very happy to offer advice. We had a fabulous holiday, thank you!

Zu Gast in einem ganzen Dorf
Inmitten der Fußgängerzone eines kleinen Dorfes haben wir das großzügig ausgestattete Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die sehr gute Sauberkeit des Hauses, die Stille im authentischen Bergdorf, die selbstverständliche Freundlichkeit der Bewohner und die gute Betreuung durch unseren Nachbarn Christophe trugen zu unserem Wohlfühlgefühl bei. Es war ein guter Ausgangspunkt zu unseren Wanderungen und Ausflügen. Herzlichen Dank dafür.

Wunderschönes Haus in einem ruhigen Bergdorf
Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen und authentischen Bergdorf. Es ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Besonders gefallen hat uns die geschützte Dachterrasse mit Blick über den Luberon. Die Lage ist zentral, so dass wir die Region gut erkunden konnten. Herzlichen Dank für die unkomplizierte Kommunikation und den netten Kontakt zu Christophe and Marie-Line vor Ort. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und entspannte Woche.

Un gîte très agréable situé dans un village charmant.
Un gîte très agréable situé dans un village charmant d'où on peut alterner randonnées à proximité et visites de tous les sites du Lubéron. Les pièces sont spacieuses et meublées avec goût. Par ailleurs, tout est très propre et fonctionnel. La chambre du 2ème étage donnant sur la terrasse n'est pas isolée, mais quel plaisir de manger sur la terrasse avec vue sur les monts du Lubéron et sur les toits du village ! Un très bon gîte pour visiter le Lubéron.

Haus mit Charme und authentischer Atmosphäre mitten im Bergdorf, bietet viel Platz und ist voll ausgestattet. Das Dorf bietet ebenfalls alles zum Leben, sprich einen gut sortierten Einkaufsladen, der täglich geöffnet hat und bei dem Baguette, Croissant, frisches Obst und Gemüse aus der Region sowie regionaler Käse angeboten wird sowie eine Bar / Restaurant, bei der sich die Leute treffen. Hier können Sie herrlich die Lebensart der Einwohner miterleben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ist angenehm und unkompliziert, vor Ort ist ein Ansprechpartner, der ebenso entspannt und unkompliziert ist. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist herrlich, die Terrasse selbst könnte aber wesentlich schöner gestaltet sein. Auch hätten wir uns Stuhlauflagen gewünscht. Unweit vom Haus steht die Kirche, die mit ihren Glocken verhindert, dass man zu spät aufwacht und etwas vom Tag versäumt. Als wir ankamen, ging gerade eine Hitzewelle durchs Land und es gab hitzefrei. Das öffentliche Freibad im Ort ist trotz größter Hitze nur und ausschließlich in den französischen Schulferien geöffnet. Wir haben uns auf die Eröffnung ab 1. Juli eingerichtet, da im Internet stand, dass das Freibad im Juli und August geöffnet ist. Das war für uns dann doch mehr als ärgerlich, da dieser Punkt ausschlaggebend für die Buchung gewesen ist. So haben wir dann in der ersten Woche weite Strecken zu verschiedenen Badestellen zurücklegen müssen. Alles in allem ist das Haus zentral gelegen für diverse Ausflüge mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielrichtungen (Kultur, Natur, Historie, Sport, Abenteuer) und lässt einen selbst zur Ruhe kommen.

Easter in St Martin de Castillon
We had a short but very nice stay in this house. A warm welcome by the Christopher late in the evening was our arrival in France again. The house shows that the owner tried to keep its character and its history into our time - very nice. There are so much interesting details in this typical provencal house! You will find all things which you need for a pleasant stay. The nice village also a typical bar and a small "general store" of need something else. Thank you Pierre for saving this house!

Beautiful house in a lovely, quiet village.
This is a beautiful, well cared for property. All the rooms are spacious and the whole house is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high quality - it really feels like a home. The terrace has a lovely view and is perfect for eating/drinking in the evening. Since the village is pedestrianized our children were safe to go out and explore by themselves. They enjoyed using the local pool and also the pools in Cereste and Saint-Saturnin-Les-Apt. The Bar de la Fontaine is a pleasant place to sit for a drink, and we also had a nice pizza dinner there one evening. Pierre Stefan was always quick to answer any questions I had before our stay, and he provided a lot of helpful information. Christophe the caretaker was friendly and welcoming and lives nearby. I would highly recommend this place to others and would love to go back myself!

Perfect Provence
This beautiful house in a wonderfully picturesque Provencal hillside town was such a treat! We are a family of five and had the best town. St Martin is everything you imagine of the Luberon...impossibly quaint and picturesque. There is a bar/restaurant - Bar de la Fontaine and a well stocked tabac. The village pool is a great spot to hang out with locals and other tourists (only downside is it closes at 6pm). The house itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The rooms are large, beds are great, kitchen is well stocked. The views from the rooftop terrace are superb and a great spot to pitch up and enjoy a long lunch or dinner as the light fades over the Luberon. While St Martin is a little removed from the usual haunts such as Menerbes/Bonnieux/Gordes, they are all within an easy 30 minute drive, it also encourages you to visit other wonderful spots that you may not otherwise venture to like Banon, Simiane and St Saturnin. We couldn't recommend Pierre Stefan's beautiful home or St Martin more highly. Beautiful!
