"Generally the hotel was spotless, the staff helpful and friendly and the breakfast excellent. Only 3 downsides. Firstly, the room was very small and the shower room so tiny you could scarcely turn round. Secondly, the hotel is a fair hike from Villers centre. Buses are few and far between and taxis don't exist in Villers and there isn't much around the hotel. Thirdly, the stairs from the underground car park come up outside the hotel. Got soaked. One minor gripe. When we booked in someone could have told us parking is free in Villers outside of July and August. Could have saved us €30 for 3 nights hotel parking."

"This place does not look like, and is not in reality anything like it's shown to be. We went as 3 generations of a family. The site advertised a beautiful pool and play area and it was this that led us to book it. When we arrived, later than expected and too late to go anywhere else, we found the pool closed 'due to safety issues'. It was bright green and stagnant and was obviously a health hazard. The children's play area was broken, dirty and weed-ridden. The house was not cleaned properly and the furniture was dirty and stained. The kitchen and cooking facilities were a joke and there were very few utensils. I have photos of all this but I don't think that I am able to post them on this review. They advertised long term rental in their reception and I think the majority of people there used it for that purpose. This was end of May, to start of June, so not out of season and within school holidays and we only booked it a few weeks before and there was no mention of the pool being closed. It's in a nice position for the coast but really not worth booking. It needs totally renovating."

"We had to make the beds and clean , take off bed sheets when leaving. For the high cost you would think its included. We had to mKe sure place was spotless. Pool was not operating even . "

"Our host was such a warm and friendly person. His English was pretty good and he was very helpful with sight seeing tips and providing maps with places to visit. We were there for the 80th anniversary of D Day. Saw most of the sights but not all. Five days isn’t enough time. Location is a small village, Villers-ser-Met, with some decent shopping, multiple restaurants and multiple bakeries. We had an Ocean view across the street but not from our room. Rooms were tight but very clean and comfortable. We weren’t planning to spend much time in our room. The dining room had a French breakfast available for about 17 Euros each. All item’s provided were locally sourced. There was a bar if you wanted to buy a drink like beer or a spirit. This building was built in the late 1800’s so it is very European. The village did not suffer any damage in World War II. People were pretty friendly and most but not all spoke passable English. It was a fairly long drive to D Day memorial sites, from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours but well worth the effort. Towns were jammed with military vehicles and soldier actors. Seemed strange to see 82nd and 101st Airborne soldiers all speaking French. But it was worth the trip. We have been to France 3 times. This was our first visit to Normandy and we just loved it. "

"Great place for the 2 of us as a launchpad to explore the Normandy coast. Immaculately clean suite! So many places have a bare amount of kitchen utensils, cooking implements, this unit had everything we could need to cook. Cooking on vacation not your thing? Walking distance to many restaurants and a grocery store. We were here in early June, very quiet street and parking was easy. Check in and check out process was great. SILVIO was always a quick text away."
