Kibune Hiroya
3.0 star property
6.0 out of 10, (1)
"Kibune Hiroya turned out to be much older than expected. Room is tired looking and everything seemed old. However, service is super attentive and dinner is very very good, although we were disappointed that the rain kept us from dining over the river, kawadoko, which the town is famous for. Thankfully we were able to do it for breakfast and it was really an amazing experience."

I admittedly have high expectations, as I felt justified for $800/night, and was somewhat surprised when I arrived. Rather than the beautiful, tranquil, and zen atmosphere I was hoping for, the atmosphere was just dated and seedy. There was no area to relax, other than our room (where...
