"When we first walked in the lady at the counter was so sweet and ready to help us. We got to the hotel way too early before check in and she was kind enough to help us get in our room. "

"Stayed two nights during fleet week. Very safe near fisherman’s wharf. It’s SF and an old building, but it’s clean, safe, and walkable to every location. SF has been notroiusly unsafe for kids, but I had my 14 year old son here and we felt very comfortable. It was fleet week and there were many more police than normal. And the marines. Pretty sure SF authorities moved out most of the homeless for this week. I live nearby could see a huge difference, so YMMV based on the political climate…typically i would never bring my son to SF."

"This is a super cute hotel with nice amenities, particularly if you have kids. There's a big playroom with several games and tables for adults to gather. Rooms were spacious enough (for SF) and very clean and mostly updated. The only downside is the proximity to Fisherman's Wharf, which has its pluses (easy access to restaurants, shopping, boats, etc) but also it's a bit dingy, crowded, and noisy. Overall, a nice stay. "

"We loved the King Charles Hotel! It was whimsical, charming, and comfortable. The staff took care of everything that we asked for quickly and the were knowledgeable and helpful about the area. The room was clean and the vibe of the hotel was welcoming! The coffee was great in the lobby in the morning. The Pinecrest Diner was across the street and our favorite place to eat while we were in San Francisco. We definitely recommend the King Charles Hotel!"
