Property was nice on the outside but I had a couple concerns. First, there was definitely black mold in the shower and the room continuously got stuffy. Even though it was quite cold we had to keep opening a window. Second, water pressure in the shower was terrible and took forever to rinse off shampoo. Lastly, mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Room otherwise was clean, but the black mold and old shower with little water pressure was definitely an issue.

I booked a stay for my husband and I for Christmas. The inn was so cute you can definitely see how much time was put into making this place shine again. I loved it. The room was comfortable everything we needed for our four night stay. It was nice to be able to walk in to town we didnt have to drive anywhere. I also loved the addition of the fire pit as well. Super cool art with the cycling viking. Being that we are cyclists it was the perfect touch. Would absolutely stay there again.

Everyone was so warm and welcoming, truly going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. When I couldn’t reach the heater in my room, I called the front desk, and within two minutes, someone was there to help! Now that’s service! The desk attendant was the sweetest person, making me feel right at home. But what makes The Viking even better is its perfect location—just a short walk to the Solvang Marketplace, plus a convenience store right across the street in case you need anything. If you’re visiting Solvang, look no further—The Viking is THE place to stay! Great service, unbeatable location, and a team that truly cares. I’ll definitely be coming back! Location was okay, walkable. Pet friendly and clean. However , its very noisy our room and window just facing the main street. The bed needs upgrade it's not good for those people with back issue, we feel like were sinking into the bed .The door lock needs to check my son was not able to lock the door good thing he brought his own.

We enjoyed our stay. Good room. Clean and quiet. Good bed and close to town so we didnt need a car to shop or eat. Cool check-in was without seeing a desk person, we just used the given code provided on our phone and entered our room. We sent three messages to the hotel questioning rules on pets and all three messages were ignored; very frustrating.

The room was spotless and clean. The young lady in the office was extremely nice when we went to grab some ice. My only complaint was the bed, it wasn’t comfortable. Please tip the hard working ladies that clean the rooms as we did because it was beyond spotless !
