"Beautiful stone home, built in 1780, lots of need for improvement. We were four adults, arrival was scheduled for 4:30 on Sunday. The host postponed our check-in until 7 pm. No rationale and no apology provided. This was problematic as we were not able to get dinner or groceries – restaurants opened in town at 7 pm. We were shocked to learn that the road to this house was a very steep, winding, unassumed - , basically dirt, grass, rocks for 10 minutes. A smaller vehicle would not be able to...

"The villa is absolutely brilliant, its extremely spacious and has every facility you need. My only criticism is its location. The area where it is located is really nice, very private and quiet. However, there are no shops near by and the supermarket is an hours "

"Notre sejour s’est bien passe. 2 petits bemols cependant concernant la proprete du bien notamment dans la cuisine ( placards, vaisselle) et la proximite avec la route et la pension canine qui representent des nuisances sonores. A part cela le proprietaire est charmant et tres disponible. L’entretien de la piscine et du jardin est fait tous les 2 jours et la maison est spacieuse et les jardin et piscine tres agréables"

"The appartment is a part of the main building where the owners family are living. This was a surprise but the family is very friendly and helpsom, although not quite fluent in english. The house location is by a quiet country road with forrest nearby and smaller villages. Not many good restaurants we could find. It would have been more enjoyable if there was more privacy. House was clean and tidy at arrival."

"The villa was an incredible place to stay with friends. It was clean and clearly well looked-after. It's close enough to Barcelona to go in for the day or evening, but far enough away to feel more secluded and quiet. The host was very helpful and communicative - which was very useful for planning arrival, etc. Overall a great trip and I highly recommend the place."

"L'emplacement est complètement dépaysant et au calme absolu !!! Si vous voulez être loin de la foule, c'est l'endroit idéal. Au milieu du parc naturel de Montseny et dans la nature. La piscine est très propre, agréable lors des chaudes journées d'été pour se rafraîchir et bronzer... Rural House in the mountains at Natural place of Montseny/Barcelona,Spain

Not as Expected

"Beautiful stone home, built in 1780, lots of need for improvement. We were four adults, arrival was scheduled for 4:30 on Sunday. The host postponed our check-in until 7 pm. No rationale and no apology provided. This was problematic as we were not able to get dinner or groceries – restaurants opened in town at 7 pm. We were shocked to learn that the road to this house was a very steep, winding, unassumed - , basically dirt, grass, rocks for 10 minutes. A smaller vehicle would not be able to navigate this road. We struggled and we had a four-wheel drive, larger SUV. The owner kept saying it was “safe” but we did not feel safe on this road. Needless to say we only took the journey down the mountain to the nearby town twice. The owner informed us the oven was not working in an email, the day of check-in. No attempt was made to repair it or to replace it. They have a wood burning BBQ, the owner said he would return the next day and bring wood for the BBQ. He never did. Contradictions to the house description: no gym/work out area or fitness center, no oven, no spices in the kitchen area. There was no hair dryer and we were instructed not to use a dryer due to limitations/renewable energy. They was no bottle opener, there was one wine glass. What was great – renovations and upgrades are nice: bathrooms, flooring. The trails around the house were fantastic, the little stream was quite lovely. The house is very isolated if you are hoping for quiet and relaxation"

"The hotel is located in a quiet but beautiful town - not full of international tourists, so you feel that you get a taste of the real Catalonia. Perfect location in summer, as the air is fresh at night. Also including here and the nearby town Caldes, plenty of wonderful tapas restaurants to try. I also loved the old style of the hotel and the rooms are also very comfortable and large. Loved breakfast - they had a range of interesting meats and delicious pastries and bread. The thermal pools were relaxing and a lovely treat. A great stay overall."
