It is a beautiful house filled with lovely furnishings. Dr. Al was a wonderful host. He knows much the history of Savannah. He was able to recommend restaurants, shopping, cultural events and sights to see. I would definitely stay there again.
This B&B was outstanding! The proprietor is charming and deeply knowledgeable about the history of Savannah. The antique mansion is in immaculate condition and is filled with spectacular antiques. There is a large southern style veranda and a beautiful garden with a fountain. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is central to all of the historic sights- we walked everywhere. A true winner!

Walking into the Stephen Williams House is like receiving a big hug from your best friend. Meeting Doc and listening to his stories as he takes you on a tour of this beautiful home is a highlight of your first day there. But breakfast is also a highlight as the food is just delicious and based on old Savannah recipes. Our room was beautiful and sitting on the back porch was so relaxing. If you ever have a chance to visit Savannah please book your stay at the Stephen Williams Home. You will find yourself transported back to a time in Savannah, of friendship and elegance.

My mom and I stayed for 3 nights at the Stephen Williams House. We’d never been to Savannah before and it was a great spot for our adventures. The charm, the gardens, and the caretakers of the house make the experience amazing.
While it’s technically not right in the middle of the action, almost everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute walk. Ubers and Lyfts are plentiful and quick.

Owner Dr. Wall is a gem. Savannah couldn’t have a better ambassador! He and his staff made our stay very special.
We had the best stay at the Stephan Williams House! I could not recommend it enough. Doc was wonderful and so helpful throughout our stay. The house and courtyard are beautiful and very clean. Delicious southern breakfast served daily. The location is perfect, so we never had to use our rental car in the city (which stayed for free in the parking area behind the house). This place beats a hotel any day if you are looking for a truly authentic Savannah experience!
Always an experience. Great location slightly off downtown.

Best Bed and Breakfast in Savannah!
Place is conveniently located and gorgeous. The antiques are amazing. The proprietor Doc is incredible. No need to take any historical tour as Doc knows it all. Food was amazing and each dish had a story! This is a wonderful alternative to a stuffy hotel room.
The owner “Doc” is the icing on the cake for this wonderful property! The hospitality, historic information provided and amazing breakfast each morning made our trip an experience to remember! I would highly recommend and will definitely return to this property when re-visiting Savannah!

“Doc” was a great host, very helpful and entertaining. The B&B in great location, in the middle of historic district, and within walking distance of restaurants and waterfront…
The owner and host, Doctor Mall, is wonderful. The house is beautiful and full of wonderful antique furnishings. Each morning breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room. Doc has something distinctly Southern placed in front of us and he tells us the story behind it- and it is a treat! There is free off street parking behind the house. When in Savannah it will always be my choice of lodging.
Great house with a fabulous host. There is a large porch in the back where we sat in the late afternoon and at night. The breakfasts were wonderful. Doc is full of Savanna knowledge and stories!
Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Dr. Albert Wall (Doc) who made me feel right at home.
The B&B itself is a picturesque home tucked away in a corner of the Historic District. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful 100-year-old garden. We stayed on the garden level in a cozy room with everything we needed. The shower was great!
One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious breakfast served each morning. Doc is not only a gracious host but also a talented chef using recipes that were very old & very southern! While serving breakfast he gave us recommendations for local attractions brief anecdotes on the history of the area. Everything is within walking distance which was great.
We highly recommend this charming B&B for your next escape to Savannah.
This is an historic property wonderfully maintained and outfitted with lovely period pieces. As expected some rooms are small. Breakfasts involve historic recipes. The secret ingredient is the proprietor Doc who knows all the history as well as helpful hints for tourists.
