Whole 3rd floor was smelly on weed I could smell it in my room because the guy next door was smoking it even I thought it’s not smoking facility.Tv was loud and he was coughing all night. Bed was clean and comfortable

This property is surrounded by a lot of other hotels but this is the one to stay at. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.

Great for the price. It was enjoyable to use the pool in the winter! Breakfast was fine for "continental" it included scrambled eggs and sausage all 3 mornings. Plus the usual pancakes, bagels, toast, cereal, apples and yogurt.

The included breakfast was pretty good. That's about where the positives end. The room itself was dirty and infested with ants. The entry door was poorly fit and got jammed on the frame unless you slammed all your body weight into it. We used the pool briefly which was also infested with ants. You couldn't put your belongings down anywhere or sit on the pool deck or chairs without them crawling on you. The emergency phone had been removed from the wall, which based on the signage I suspect was because people were using it to make personal calls, but that seems like an unsafe solution. We couldn't get the tv remote to work. I went to the front desk and they gave me another remote that also didn't solve the problem. Turns out someone had unplugged the IR receiver and shoved it behind the tv. We plugged it back into the cable box (that the hotel had precariously dangled above the tv rather than mounting it) which solved the problem. Our room was right next to the ice machine which was very loud. The hotel itself is close to the highway and traffic is very audible, as is noise in adjacent rooms. Overall it served its purpose of being a bed for the night and a quick breakfast, but I would not choose to stay in another Wingate after this experience. There are far better hotels in the same price category. There are about 10 other hotels in a one mile radius of this one and I suspect most of them would be a better choice.

The staff this morning was pleasant. Check in was fairly painless. Wasn't expecting to be at front desk 10 minutes as I took advantage of pre check in.

The desk clerk assigned me a room and gave me a key and when I went to it, it was already occupied! Thank goodness the person was not in or it could have been very uncomfortable and in this day and age, dangerous. I was then given a different room which was not what I had reserved. The bathroom was clean, but dated. The sink was loose (movable) under the quartz countertop and all the grout around the tub was gray and stained and had been attempted to be covered with more grout to cover the dirty grout. The window blackout curtains had no rods to close them (up way high) and I had to jump with a hanger to close them the best I could. Overall it was fine. It was a 12 hour stay. But I was disappointed after what I had expected.
