"Stayed for a long weekend; perfect location and great amenities. We were luckily enough to see a red squirrel! The crows were a little annoying but very little you can do about that, they must have been nesting so we had our very own personal early alarm call! Would reccommend the cottage and would definitely go back if visiting the region again. Only thing to mention would be the mould that was starting to develop on the bathroom ceiling."

"Stayed here a few times and can't know it... Great location, allows pets, great value, kitchenettes in the rooms are super handy... parking can be a bit tricky when busy, and the rooms a bit toasty.... But other than that it's a great stay."

"I received a call 24 hours before our arrival (on New Years Eve),telling me the booking cancelled due to 'gas issues' in the apartment. I was told they would arrange for Expedia to search for alternative accomodation. I was ,however,scepital about this and proceeded to try and find accomodation myself,without success at such short notice. A 5 minute walk from the centre of town and lots of restaurants and pubs but far enough away from the centre to be private. Amazing views. A little difficult to find in the first place but once we located it, all was good! Thank you!"

Wonderful place, don’t hesitate!

"What a wonderful treat it was to run across the Grange country house. This B&B has won awards for best B&B breakfast and other things and you can see why. The breakfast which was prepared meticulously included a decent range of options served in a bright sunny dining room. Everything we had was delicious. The staff are eager to make your stay comfortable with a clear interest in being the best B&B they can. We highly recommend it and will come back next time we visit the lake district."

"Let me start by saying thank you to the whole team for making our recent stay so incredible. We were with you last week Wednesday - Friday. We were put in one of the upper level rooms with a partial view of the lake and it was a fantastic room. From our very first interaction with security at the gate, to checking in with David who was excellent, and all of our interactions whilst we were with you, we had a lovely time. We also booked Thermal journey and a treatment each which we had on the Thursday, the spa was equally as impressive. We also had the pleasure of meeting Puppy Holly (and Tim) which was one of my fiancés highlights. Special mention to Mel in the Winander bar who was lovely and we had several conversations with."

Lovely stay, shocked to pay £25 for 1pm check in

"We stayed overnight as we were at wedding being held there. The wedding started at 3pm, we asked if we could check in early so we could get ready before the wedding so we didn't get our clothes creased during the hour drive to the hotel. We had to pay an extra £25 to get checked in at 1pm. The amount we paid for the room and the amount my friend paid for her daughters wedding i was shocked at how much was charged. However, the room was lovely, we equiped and very comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and our stay"
