"On the downside the heating was a little hit and miss! Floors were very noisy and the blind cords very flimsy. The frontdoor was difficult to close from the outside. Some interesting features for younger people but older visitors would appreciate more comfortable armchairs. Having said all that we did enjoy our stay."

"The property was very clean and was equipped with everything you need (and with things that you never knew you needed!). Good location for exploring the local area, it really is a very pretty part of the world. For a 1 bed property it is very spacious and the outside area is a real sun trap."

I rented the place for a couple of nights in mid November to celebrate my 30th and it surpassed my expectations. "I had family visiting from Australia, and this wonderfully presented, spacious and historic property was the ideal base to show them the delights of our picturesque corner of Wiltshire (Longleat, Stonehenge etc..) and beyond. Highly recommended."

"The cottage was dirty, the kitchen smelt of grease and all the pots where dirty. It smelt very fusty like it had been left unused for a long time. Beds where very uncomfortable, my wife described it as the worst nights sleep she has ever had. None of my kids could sleep either. Left after the first night and had to spend more money to stay somewhere. When I mentioned all this to the host they completely ignored me and stopped responding to my messages."

"Lovely little lodge with lots of sweet extra touches like fairy lights, a cosy fireplace and outdoor bath. The fully enclosed, large garden is ideal for dogs and children, with beautiful views from every angle. Lovely to see horses and cows so close. Jon is an excellent and very friendly host. "Absolutely perfect weekend away with good friends. Such amazing facilities, the swimming pool is absolutely first class as is the dry sauna and steam room. We could not get enough of it! The games room with the air hockey and arcade game machine is a lovely touch too. Bedrooms and en suite beautiful and clean and the hosts/owners were so very pleasant and helpful and always there if we needed them. All in all I cannot rate this place highly enough and we will definitely be staying again!"

"Had a really great time in this house. Ample space for everyone to chill out, relax and the location was pretty good too. The outdoor space was definitely the highlight. Well manicured lawn, play area, lounge."

"First, the only way go stay closer to the cathedral would be to pitch a tent on the lawn! So much room, large kitchen and separate dining room. Really large bedrooms. Entire house super well kept and clean. We are picky travelers and we loved this place! "

"The house was lovely mainly clean and functional and warm. It was difficult to communicate with the person overseeing the stay as the email links with vrbo didn’t work and the details on the vrbo site were inadequate including incorrect directions. This was all because the properties in this development are also on the market and the site is not quite finished. This put the housekeeper in a difficult position.
