"Great location, ocean views, bathroom a bit dated"

"Really good location right across from the beach, walkable to main areas. One bed apt is good size with a well equipped kitchen, we appreciated the communal bbqs. Staff were friendly and helping. Major building works going on across the road which meant a 6AM wake up every morning except Sunday. Disappointed that the hotel didn’t inform us of this until the morning of our stay. "The Meriton Suites Herschel is in a great location across from the Roma Street Train Station. This makes it easy getting back and forth from the airport and other locations. It's also an easy walk into the CBD. The rooms are spacious and have everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. "We had a 2-bedroom unit. Was clean, tidy and spacious with kitchen and laundry facilities. Plenty of options for eating right outside the hotel with restaurants and supermarkets. In a safe and quiet area. Parking is $15 a night wifi is free. The food markets are a 5-10min walk. "

"I stayed when it wasn’t busy so I got the pool to myself. Guy on reception was really friendly and helpful the place is a bit tatty but ok for the price "

"Business trip, great location with Woolworths and bars and restaurants underneath. Rooms are quite with great Gym and pool facilitys if you have time. $20 Per day for parking underneath, well worth it as limited street parking."

"After getting over the need to download an app, apply for the parking and use the phone app for entry (tricky for an old fart…), I found the room to be fine. Loved the rooftop pool and sauna. Woollies on site and enough eateries, so one there it is all pretty convenient."

Our room was great, we got the 1 bedroom suite with partial views of the ocean, which were spectacular, particularly from the balcony.
