Our room was the type that has a 'backyard' with our own hot spring (think jacuzzi with a water fall feature, surrounded by plants and flowers, and heated by a volcano). The thermal forest and hot springs near the main pool were also amazing and a nice option between La Fortuna adventures, or when the rain forest is 'doing it's job' (aka raining). "We stayed 3nights at Hotel Arenal Parasio resort and spa during Christmas holidays. Though property has excellent amenities like pools, bar, restaurants, and hots springs, the actual rooms are very old and dated. Many issues with room itself. Floors and bath rooms are stained and looks dirty due to lack of maintenances. "We had the most amazing stay, the whole place is absolutely stunning, you can do a much or as little as you like, the walking trails are full of wildlife, the huge hot tub is fab as is the pool, our room was immaculate and huge and the dining area was really good also, but for me it was the staff, they we're all fantastic, nothing was to much trouble (especially the restaurant staff 👌)..this truly is a stunning property so relaxing to sit and watch the humming birds from our terrace, thank you...
