Hotel is a little on the older side but it has quaint and comfortable characteristics. Staff was extremely helpful and kind throughout our stay. Parking is near the rooms so not too far to carry luggage. Steps away from the beach lookouts. Limited options on food/restaurants. "Had an amazing trip. Went to Cambria Christmas lights...they were wonderful this year...over 3 million lights...vendors and food were great as well. The Sands by the sea is always a great place to stay in San Simeon. Friendly staff, good restaurant, great location to see everything. The elephant seas are also a good time and very entertaining. "First, Justin was an outstanding host. He was very communicative yet very respectful that this was a quiet retreat. Justin‘s place is definitely a labor of love.
