We named the spiders and left them alone and nobody was bothered by them. "My family of four (young adult children) thoroughly enjoyed spending our New Year in Willie McLeod’s cottage. It is a charming and warm home from which to venture out on Skye. The cottage is well equipped and the kitchen ready for basic cooking. We loved it and would come back in anytime!"

"Property desperately needs updating both of the sofas in conservatory are ripped as were the cushions other then that we enjoyed our stay"

"The property was very clean, and the hosts provided us with plenty of cookware to make meals plus an extensive book on local sightseeing, walks, and places to eat! Modern interior, very warm and cosy, and the bathroom/shower was very comfortable (no problems with hot water!). Lively views from the large windows and curtains to cover up the windows at night. Waking up to views of the hills was really special. Thanks very much!"

No glam and glitz, but traditional Scottish feel!

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy furnishings and glitz. We highly recommend!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed in the UK. "
