"Overall this was a great place to stay, outside the busy Las Vegas strip. You though need to be able to have a vehicle if you are staying here. There is nothing around, at the moment. It though is in a growing community so who knows what will be around in a few years time. I am though still waiting for my deposit to be returned to me. I would stay here again."

"The room was ok for the price. It had two adjusent rooms, which was what we were looking for. The staff was friendly, sheets and towels were clean. The property was dated, however, with quite poor sound proofing. It would work for one night stay."

"This has the nicest staff, laundry room. Pet friendly. It is a small resort, hotel & casino so everything is convenient. Uber and Lyft know this place and find me easy and fast. There are many restaurants and convenient stores in walking distance. Also a Nail and spa right across the street. A nice size pool with easy access. They have cable TV and you can WiFi your own subscription through your smart phone. The maids staff are super friendly and will change your sheets and clean your rooms...

"This was my first time staying downtown and I think El Cortez was perfect. Easy walk to Fremont and the Container Park. Bars and restaurants at the hotel were excellent, the room was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All future trips I will stay here. It was the best. So much better than the strip. "

"This hotel is a smaller scale Vegas resort. It is part of the "station" group, so it caters to a local crowd. It is nicer than some of the other "station" hotels/resorts I've stayed at. "This hotel is very clean and has everthing you need for a short break. Location is great right next to Fremont street. $4 a bottle of bud compared to $11 a bud at Treasure Island on the rip off strip. Only down side is smoke in the casino. "
