"We really enjoyed our stay, stumbled across the place whilst searching for a local area to stay. Rooms were beautiful, shower was amazing, food delicious, good selection of drinks. Breakfast was cooked to our liking. The only downside was not enough plug sockets in the room to charge phones/tablets etc but this was a minor thing. We loved the place and are looking to go again. "We have had a lovely stay at the Wheatsheaf. The room was perfectly located and equiped with everything we needed. Although, it was cold when we first arrived it soon warmed up. The toilet/water system was very noisy but there was always hot water. The beds were very comfy and provided us with a lovely night's rest."

"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"The area was very convenient and had a lovely view of the river. Perfect for access to the city centre. The room itself was clean, just like the photos and they did a great service of the room as we stayed two nights. Although the area is convenient, be aware it does mean there's noise from traffic all night long. The parking situation was unclear when booking and lead to us receiving a parking ticket. And in our room in particular, the shower was almost unusable. "

"Excellent from start to finish Warm welcome from Tim and Robbie. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom spotless and spacious. Very accomodating for our two little dogs (even after one of them was a bit naughty at dinner on Friday). Food was amazing big shout out to the chef Jake, keep enjoying your rugby. "Great location and very quiet. Room was spotless, very modern and equipped with all facilities you need. The pull out sofa bed was massive and very comfortable. The only issues for me were: the shower wasn’t very powerful and one morning there was work including hammering and drilling being carried out next door on one of the days. This started early morning and continued until we left at 11am the same day. Other than those issues it’s a lovely place to stay."
