Summary:
This exquisite Eastern Shore residence is perfect for relaxation and a quick trip to the beach or Annapolis, boasting a private pool and four spacious bedrooms with one King bed, two Queens beds, a Twin daybed, and a Twin bunk bed. The house is only 0.5 miles / 2 minute drive to Matapeake Clubhouse and Beach, a public beach with beautiful sand on the Chesapeake Bay. You can enjoy a day at the beach followed by top notch food and fun in Annapolis that evening!!
The Space:
This is a 2 story house with a pool in the backyard. It has a living room, kitchen, laundry room, 2 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms on the first floor. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has the queen and day bed and is a pass-through between the laundry room and living room. Also note that one of the bathrooms on the first floor is a jacuzzi bath tub, but does not have a shower. The primary bedroom, ensuite bathroom, and children's bedroom (with bunk beds) is on the 2nd floor. There is also a lovely balcony on the 2nd floor as well overlooking the backyard. This is a quiet neighborhood, so quiet hours (no loud noise or music) are from 7 pm to 7 am.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire property and backyard. The house is 3 mile / 10 minute drive to a wide variety of restaurants on Kent Island and 17 mile / 25 minute drive to Annapolis across the Bay Bridge. Please note that the home's pool will be closed until late May.
The Neighborhood:
This vacation home is located in Stevensville. Hammond-Harwood House and ARTFX Gallery of Fine Crafts and Arts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Queenstown Harbor Golf Links and Queenstown Harbor Golf Club. Paul Reed Smith Guitars and Maryland World War II Memorial are also worth visiting.
Getting Around:
You need a car to access this property if you would like to drive around the local area. The driveway has space for four large cars. Ride sharing services and taxis are sporadic since it is not a densely populated location.

We charge for additional guests above a fixed amount. This amount and additional charge varies by unit type, size, and configuration. If you input the correct guest count when you make your reservation the amount the booking site indicated as the total cost will not change (due to guest count). We ask for confirmation of guest count after you complete your booking. If you need to increase your guest count after booking confirmation due to a booking error, this could result in a price increase. Finally, we verify guest count via external cameras located on our properties. In the event that we notice a guest count at the property that is higher than reported, we reserve the right to ask for additional guest fees that would be double the amount we would have charged prior to check-in.
Kindly refer to the following guidelines regarding fees for extra guests:
Studio & 1 BR units - $25 per guest/night after 2 guests (i.e. 3 guests would be $25/night extra and 4 guests would be $50/night extra)
2 BR units - $30 per guest/night after 4 guests (i.e. 5 guests would be $30/night extra and 6 guests would be $60/night extra)
3 BR unit - $35 per guest/night after 6 guests (i.e. 7 guests would be $35/night extra and 8 guests would be $70/night extra)
4 BR units - $40 per guest/night after 8 guests (i.e. 9 guests would be $40/night extra and 10 guests would be $80/night extra)
5 BR+ units - $45 per guest/night after 10 guests (i.e. 11 guests would be $45/night extra and 12 guests would be $90/night extra)
We do charge a pet fee of $45/night per pet that you bring with you. This reduces to $200/week per pet and $350/month per pet for longer term guests. This fee is not included in the accommodation fare rate. We will send a request for the additional funds once the number of pets is confirmed after booking.
***If you neglect to inform us ahead of time that you are bringing a pet with you then we reserve the right to either TERMINATE your stay early or DOUBLE the pet fee retroactively for the entirety of your reservation.***
Gatherings/parties of any kind are strictly forbidden at this property. If you host a gathering/party/event at this property we will levy a $1000 fine and call the police to end it immediately. A gathering/party is any event where the guests in the property at ANY time exceeds the listing's capacity or is more than the stated number of guests on the reservation.
We have a minimum 7 day stay requirement for local guests. We rarely make an exception to policy but may elect to do so at our sole discretion. If you are local to Stevensville and book for less than 7 days we reserve the right to ask you to cancel your reservation.
The following additional charges apply to late check outs/early arrivals, assuming we can offer this at all (we often can’t so please never assume this will be allowed):
1 hr or less early arrival or late departure: $50
1-2 hr early arrival/late departure: $100
2-3 hr early arrival/late departure: $150
3+ hr early arrival/late departure: $200 or the cost of an additional night’s stay, whichever is more
These fees are primarily in place to highly discourage late checkouts/early arrivals since this causes our cleaning service undue stress to prep the unit prior to your or the next set of guest’s arrival. This also increases the need for them to rush/cut corners, increasing the likelihood of them not cleaning the unit to the high standard which we hold them to.
***Smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property - the house, front or back yard***
***If we find cigar/cigarette butts of any kind on the property or evidence of smoking (ash on porch, deck, empty cigarette packs, etc.) we will assess a $500 cleaning fee in addition to the regular cleaning fee***
Also, Saturday check-ins and check-outs are (generally) not allowed unless you are booking a stay that is >7 days, with the exception of some specific weekends. We may allow an exception to this policy (depending on the specific weekend and season) but reserve the right not to do so or to ask you to modify of cancel a reservation starting or ending on a Saturday.
You are strictly forbidden from bringing firearms or items associated with them (including guns, bullets, gunpowder, shells, magazines, silencers, etc.) on this property whether or not they are licensed. If you violate this policy or we find evidence that you did (e.g. firearms or bullets are discovered by our cleaners following your stay) we will assess a $1000 fine.
For guests requiring a pack n play, high chair, or any other non-standard item, please submit your request at least 7 days before check-in to ensure availability. If the request is made less than 7 days prior to check-in, we will make every effort to accommodate it, but cannot guarantee availability.
There is a propane grill and a fire pit at the property. We do not supply propane or fire wood, but you are welcome to pick up a tank/firewood and leave what you don’t use for a future guest. After using the grill, please clean it in order to avoid additional cleaning fees.

Interaction with Guests:
We have two property managers who live in/near Annapolis. Each of them are a 30-45 min drive away from you and can assist in an emergency situation.
