"Staff was unable to understand guest request and statements often. Due to inadequate bathroom in the first assignment, we had to move to another room with better bathroom. At 11 pm, no one was at the reception desk and no response by dialing #9, reception desk extension. Also front door was LOCKED (on 24 Jan)! Actually no hotel staf was located anywhere. Very dangerous practice."

"The service was outstanding. People were honest, kind and willing to help in any way. I felt safe there. The food is known (and was) very good and very clean - SAFE with no sickness at all. "This is a 3 star hotel located about 1.5 miles from the Mahabodhi temple and the Bodhi tree. (When I booked it, the map showed it being very close, but it isn't.) It mostly caters to an Asian audience (Indian, Thai, Tibetan). The restaurant is excellent, as are its prices. (I would order a la carte instead of doing buffets). The room is a bit old and quite small. The bathroom was very nice. The staff is for the most part very friendly and helpful. "

"The hotel was quite a disappointment. To get to the front door, you have to walk down a dirt, drainage culvert that serves the poor homes in front of the hotel; there's no paved path/road leading to the building. More importantly, when the handle on my door broke, the bellhop went into the room next to mine and climbed through a window into my room; that didn't feel safe so I left even though I had paid a week in advanced. To their credit, I do think they took my concerns about safety seriously...

"What a great place to stay. It's only 15 minute walk to the Mahabodhi Temple and Kalachakra Grounds, but in the middle of nature, right on the bank of the beautiful Naranjana River. You can see the Mahabodhi Temple right from the hotel itself, too. We had a great stay. The staff was professional and helped with every need that came up during my 9 day stay. Highly recommended!"
