"On arrival the reception area did not appeal too much. However the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and we were so pleased with it. The whole floor has been recently refurbished and our room at the front was lovely. "

"Really great spot to stop for a night ... room was super clean, beds were really comfy and location was perfect for walking to one of the many options for a bite. Check in was a bit unusual but easy. Last time we were in NZ, we stayed in Tekapo but it was really expensive this time - I would chose this spot in Fairlie over Tekapo any day. Fairlie Bakehouse pies really do need to be eaten to be belived - awesome! "
