2BR Cottage In Heart of Tampa's Trendy Urban Core

Two bedroom cottage-style guest house located in the center of one of Tampa's trendiest neighborhoods - Tampa Heights.
The cottage is located behind a main house on the property and includes full kitchen with cookware, utensils, plates/bowls/glasses, coffee maker, microwave, iron/board, smart T.V with Netflix, and WiFi.

The space
Our guest house is approximately 650 sq. ft. consisting of two bedrooms, one with a King size bed, and the second with a full size bed.

The location is literally minutes away from downtown Tampa, Raymond James stadium, Bush Gardens, Ybor City, Tampa's Channel District, and tons of trendy dining, bars, and shops. We're about 45 minutes drive to the Gulf beaches and 15 minutes from Tampa International airport.

There's a park directly across the street from the property with a playground, basketball courts, and softball fields.

Guest access
Guests enter via the double chain link fence on the North side of the main house. There's a pathway leading back to the private cottage.

Other things to note
-Our guest house is located in the back of the main house across the large back yard. Guests access the cottage via a side gate though to the back yard.
-Our strict no pets policy is due to a family member who stays with us frequently, who has severe and sensitive allergy to pet dander. Thanks for understanding.

The location of the property in proximity to everything was outstanding. The unit was clean and what was expected. We were able to check in ahead of the 3pm time with an early flight arrival. Much appreciated. All in all a great little place to stay in a quiet neighborhood.

Great setup!
We stayed a couple of days in the cottage to see a game at Raymond James stadium. Great location. Went out to eat a few times around the armature works area which was minutes away. Uber to the game was quick and easy. Place was nice and private, own entrance, own parking spot, everything was clean and in order. Communication with the renter was great. Would recommend!

I will NEVER, NEVER, and recommend staying in this place, no pictures in fronts of this place, (front place is a ghetto with no parking)the front door is in the back of the owner house. Be careful when you're rented.

Clean, but property needs work
The house was very clean on the inside and the beds were extremely comfortable. However, the property could use some work. It looked a little rundown with the ceiling in the living room sagging a bit. You could see where it had been patched. But it was a decent stay for the price.

Unfortunately the pictures of this property are so misleading. We couldn't even stay the second night we booked due to the mold, dust and overpowering scent that seemed to be used to cover the odors in the property. We were very very disappointed.

We had to leave after just a few hours. I have several pictures that I need to submit for your review. I contacted the owner straight away and never received a call back. Please tell me how to file a claim with the pictures. Bugs were in the beds as well.

Dirty, hair and debris on bedding, overall bad smell, tripped coming in door..found a part of an inhaler in the one bedroom, debris in drawers, etc etc it goes on and on..waiting for our refund email from VRBO. Also, for more details the woman with the long review is ACCURATE and then some so don’t believe the response at all!

Pictures were deceiving
Upon walking into the cottage, the smell of roach spray permeated the premises. There was mold around the shower, the water pressure was terrible, the toilet seat needed to be replaced, the stove only had two working burners, there is a huge gap under front door, could only get hot water in the kitchen by running the hot water in the bath tub, one tv, towels were soiled, we had to walk the length of the front house in darkness while being barked at, just an overall unpleasant stay....

Property Not As Shown Online.
Terrible! Would not stay here ever again, we were so disappointed. As the rental is set on the owners property’ we had to fight ourselves through the yard in the dark to find it…no lights at all. The place was overwhelming walking in smelling like mothballs to cover up the smell from all the mold and mildew. The flooring at the main entrance has a huge hole’ but was just covered up with a floor mat. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable! Air conditioning wasn’t working… Already contacted VRBO to request for refund!

Run down rental
The rental was horrible! The photos are several years old. There is even a vinyl fence (covered in mold) to the left of the entrance door that’s not shown in the photos. The queen bed is really just a mattress on the floor. The sheets are old and pilled, the furniture is filthy and falling apart, the walls and windowsills have mold, the knobs are off the cabinets; cookware and silverware is mismatched and very worn out, the sink is stained and the shelves in the refrigerator are broke and slant forward. The tub is dangerous with a slippery floor and tub. The joke of a bath mat is a wooden outdoor mat wrapped in an old towel. We arrived to a half of roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, no sink soap and 4 cheap towels for a 5 day stay for 3 adults. I had to instacart my own bedding and towels to get through the week. I realize it was a bargain, but you should at least provide the essentials. So disappointed.
