"If you want a place away from the resorts with a beautiful view this is the place to be. Beautiful views and still a great place from which to explore the island. I would recommend hiring a car. I booked a Toyota Aygo but at the airport it was suggested that I take a higher powered car because of the incline to get up to the property. In the end I got a Renault Clio. If I had known this ahead of time it would have saved me money as I had to pay extra for the upgrade."

"Had a great stay here. Staff all extremely friendly and couldnt do enough for us , from the receptionist on arrival, to the cleaners , to the breakfast staff - nothing was too much trouble. Pool cleaned every morning while we breakfasted. Room was more than big enough , with a small balcony and some cooking facilities ( we didnt use ) - Microwave, hob and fridge , So much more than expected for the price. "Perfect location for lots of hiking and running routes. The hotel is clean and has great facilities, pool, gym and onsite laundry for a few euros. Parking is hard to come by although there are places to park on the street, it is pretty busy and we ended up with a scuff on the hire car on the first morning return to the car where someone had obviously tried to park behind us but failed! Food was good but the options are LIMITED! Usually only 2 mains each night one veggie, one not."

"The property is well maintained and very clean. The rooms are cleaned daily and the towels changed each day . The area is safe to move around and the restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. I loved that the supermarket was only 2mins away and open until 9/ 10pm in the evenings. A great experience, lovely location, friendly staff and always willing to help."

Unfortunately when I advised that we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment & backed this up with photos they became very defensive & dismissive - frankly quite rude claiming that it was - quote “impeccably spotless“ we clearly have very different views on clean! "We had a great stay in this modern, clean apartment. The grocery store right below was very convenient too. The only negative was that while the staff did eventually fulfill the couple requests that we had, we found that we had to be very patient. Eg: more than 24 hours to get a couple extra towels for the pool. That was the only issue though and overall we really enjoyed our stay. "

"Let’s get the negative out in the open first! Yes you can hear all the street noise and music playing. I stayed here during Carnival, and it was loud! It also continued til 6am. That said, the hotel did email me in advance about the noise, so it was my choice to stay. I’m glad I did, Santa Cruz knows how to party! The hotel even provided glitter beads so I could join in the experience. Yes, the hotel could do with some secondary glazing but that’s the only negative I have. It is a lovely hotel....

"The hotel is set at the back of Puerto de la Cruz, but has good views across the town. There is parking, and at the time of writing, the cost was €10 per night. Although parts of the hotel are a little dated, it is clean, and well run. Staff were very friendly. We had the all inclusive. The food was a good variety of Spanish and International cuisine, and there was plenty of choices. The hotel had plenty of amenities, such as gym, tennis court, table tennis, petanque and pool to name a few. The hotelbhas extensive and well maintained gardens. Every evening there was entertainment each from 9-10.30ish, which was usuallya variety act. There is a free bus into town several times a day. The hotel lobby also has a an excursions booth. The room i had was large and clean with daly housemaid service. I really enjoyed the experience of The Blue Sea Jardin."
