"Excellent place to stay in Aoraki Mt Cook Nat'l Park with beautiful views and plenty of amenities. We appreciated the on site laundry, lounge areas, and the sauna! Dining options are limited in the park (~3 restaurants). Even though they're all good, you may want to plan ahead and bring groceries to take advantage of the communal kitchen area at the hostel. Helpful and friendly staff keep everything clean and tidy. We loved our experience here!"

"Amazing stay at Skyrim. Quick 15 mins into the main restaurant area or a quick 5 min drive in. The lodge is brand new and very welled thought out. Great location and beautifully decorated. Communication with hotel made the checking process easy. Love the dark sky experience and glad we stayed at Skyrim since it was close by. Walking distance to lake Tekapo is also a huge highlight. Thxs Skyrim. "

"This is a great option for larger families and this is our second time staying here. I've taken one star off for not having air conditioning as the upstairs gets very hot. Unfortunately they don't have AC to keep the bedrooms cool. The Doors and windows don't have any fly screens so you can't leave them open as you'd be swamped by bugs and mosquitos if you leave the doors and windows open to cool the place down. They need to install AC in all bedrooms rooms and living rooms and or put screens...
