Lovingly restored and staying true to the era in which it was built, this cottage offers everything you will need for an enjoyable stay on the Granite Belt.
This home offers 3 beautiful and comfortable bedrooms. The main bedroom, with its bay window a major feature, has a queen bed with electric blanket to keep you warm on those chilly winter Stanthorpe nights. The second large bedroom also has a queen bed with electric blanket. The third bedroom contains a king single, wrought iron bed. All bedrooms have ample hanging space, are tastefully decorated, comfortable and cosy with blockout curtains and blinds so you can relax and enjoy a sleep-in.
A traditional wood fireplace in the open lounge and dining area creates a peaceful ambiance, the perfect way to relax with a glass of wine after a big day exploring the local area.
Park your car undercover in the 2 bay carport in the full-fenced and private yard.
The local shop is a short walk away should you need any supplies or a snack during your stay.
The village of The Summit, is the highest in the surrounding area, at 923m above sea level. Escape the summer heat and enjoy the cool summer nights this altitude provides. Located a short 5 minute drive to Stanthorpe and nestled amongst a range of thriving tourist attractions on the north side of town, you’ll find plenty to see and do within close proximity. Explore the amazing rock formations at nearby Donnelly’s Castle, find your way around the Granite Belt Maze, be bedazzled at the Granite Belt Christmas Farm, sample local wines from the many surrounding wineries, enjoy a selection of cheese from Stanthorpe Cheese and indulge in a delicious apple pie at Sutton’s Juice Factory. The highly recommended Vincenzo’s is close by for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Venture into Stanthorpe and enjoy its many restaurants and cafes, have a meal or a drink in one of the historic pubs, stroll along the beautiful Quart Pot Creek and take a look at the picturesque Red Bridge. To the south of Stanthorpe, you’ll find more wineries along the way to Girraween National Park, a not-to-be missed main attraction of our region.
