"My room was clean, quiet, and well-equipped. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Two minor issues: the dishes etc. provided for the kitchenette were largely on shelves too high for a short person like me to reach. If you are short, be prepared to ask staff to help with this! Also, Wellington's central area is very quiet on weekends and is somewhat far from Cuba St. and other places with good nightlife. However, it is an easy walk to the popular wharf area."

"Maximalist decor might be too avant-garde for more traditional hotel vibes, but it's definitely an amazing spot. Impeccable service, room was adequately sized, great spot and conveniently located. Great fish and chips next door! "

"This is an old hotel in a location that is fantastically central to train and ferry. Despite the building being very tired, the bed was comfortable, sheets and towels, cup and kettle fresh and tidy. The receptionist was personable and pleasant. The luggage lockers are a real bonus."
