"Check in and staff were very friendly. The room was clean. Towels has some minor stains but we're fine. The room temperature controls were awful. Heat set to 61 and it was way to hot but cool set to 80 was way too cold. The hotel was a little maze like but that made it fun and interesting. The pool area was very open, a little dark but fine for the kids to play. Overall a great hotel for a hockey tournament and would recommend. "

"The hotel was an older property but very clean, staff were friendly and it was obvious that each of them care about their job and the hotel. Breakfast was nice and, tasty and very clean. Loved the lobby decorated for the holidays. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. "

"I was traveling with my Labrador to take her to be bred which meant a 2 - 3 day stay. So I needed a pet-friendly hotel. I booked a King efficiency in order to have a small kitchenette and to have a bit more floor space. My room was on the first floor and near an outside door next to the green space for pets which made it easy to walk my dog outdoors as needed during the day and at night. Fall getaway

"We brought our 91 yo mom on a fall getaway. We all enjoyed watching the lake and treeline change throughout each day depending on the sunlight. We cooked all of our dinners in the kitchen which had everything we needed. We played board games at night on the big table. Two of us went kayaking which was fun & easy to launch from & return on the sandy beach. The location was convenient for daytrips to Phillips and Timms Hill. It was also awesome that our small dog could join us. We had a great stay and would like to return during warmer weather with our bicycles."

"Great place for a long weekend stay. Very clean, well appointed kitchen Only negative think shower was broken, the bracket to hold the nozzle at a higher location, but still worked. Not a big deal."

Renters Beware

"The host reached out prior to go over everything and was super nice, but on our way there it was mentioned that one of the windows needed to be fixed and asked us to fix it. The house layout was amazing, lots of space and room. We had trouble with the bathroom doors and patio doors while we were there. The bathroom doors wouldn’t close/handles kept falling off or there was a unique way of opening the door just to get out. The patio door also had an unusual way to lock it. The fridge wasn’t getting cold by the end of night one and when I went to see why I found that the fridge had so much dust caked onto it, there wasn’t enough airflow to get the fridge cold. But that’s not even the worst part… there were a ton of rodent droppings behind the fridge which is a huge health concern especially with little children. When I brought these concerns up to the owner, she had an excuse for everything as if she was not responsible. She blamed the previous guests and the north woods for these issues. While we were they she had the nerve to ask if they could show the house to potential buyers."
