"Great stay. It took a little while to get used to the fact that this property is unmanned but it actually worked very well. Check in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked. The shower pressure was great - although the shower is protected only by a curtain so not super private but wasn’t an issue. The bed was comfy. We stayed in a private room which even had a smart tv! Hostel luxury! Would definitely recommend. It is in the middle of nowhere but easy to access Whakapapa village and the other attractions in the area"

"We loved our stay in National park village. The owners were wonderful. Duchy gave us great advice about the Tongariro crossing (a fabulous walk) and Gill looked after us well and gave us a lift to the station. All facilities were good. Local eating options are limited but reasonable. "

"Clean, comfortable. Easy check in an out. Staff was very quick and gave recommendations. I like the fact that there was a little sink in the room. Bathrooms were clean. The showers had hot water which was wonderful cuz it gets cold up there at night. My only complaint is you can hear every single noise that the other tenants make from them just walking to babies crying in their room. Our neighbors didn't go to sleep till midnight, I had to knock on their door and tell them to hush. "

"We had an ensuite room with a queen size bed. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was super friendly. We had a nice breakfast in the morning in their cafe."

"Easy to follow late check-in instructions. Great after hours service when I locked the keys inside - ooops. Room had everything we needed and bed was comfy. Shower had amazing pressure. Would love to stay again with time for the pool and mini golf."

"The facility was immaculate and well kept. All amenities were modernized. The bed was extremely comfortable, all necessities were taken care of. Will at the desk was awesome and gave me some good suggestions for dinner. I certainly would return."
