"Absolutely amazing place in the middle of the forest! Yes, because of eco friendly and the place where the hotel is, there is no AC but a fan did OK for us in June. Also there is not an actual window but a screen But the hotel is very safe, had no issues and there are a lot of wild animals inside the hotel. they offered a free animal tour guide. Food and drinks in the restaurant were amazing and at good price. Amenities are very good. Beach was amazing and is walkable distance from town"

"We loved our stay, very friendly hotel. Beautiful Island. We had to travel for two of the days back and forth to Torteguero so missed out on two nights. Easier to be in San Jose for our flights. Hotel said they would refund the days. "

"The Cabinas is close to the beach with shower at entrance so you can wash feet or body before getting to your room. The staff are kind, even if difficult to communicate at times as some don't speak English, but they do their best. The hammocks are a pleasure in the afternoon. There is a common area with tables that you can have your meals which is very useful. The room was clean, beds very comfortable, it was fee hot days when we were there and ceiling fan and separate fans were helpful. The shower water was running well and warm, if needed. Overall, happy to stay there as it feels closer to what local accomodations look like instead of a typical hotel room, so it made it a special memory "

"We discovered that we LOVE Casa Marbella, one of the highlights of our visit to Costa Rica this time! Family owned and run, one of the oldest hotels in Tortugero, the Casa Marbella staff provides friendly, expert, and excellent customer service (boat taxi pick up at the airport, guided tours by boat and in the preserve, etc.) The hotel is small, right on the river, and quiet. We loved staying here and definitely would go back."

"Property set back from the Main Street straight on to the beach. Accommodation well spread out and extensive well kept gardens. Room very simple but functional. "
