I feel bad writing this review, because the hotel staff are exceptionally friendly. However, the standard single room I booked was quite uncomfortable. I'm 1,80 meters and had to bend down when taking a shower. Again, the staff are amazing, but the room I booked was dissapointing. Pay a bit more and book the more premium rooms they offer.

The bed was amazing! Staff very friendly and really easy to get to middle of town. Just a short walk Worth knowing before you book - the road outside balcony is very loud and if you get a room facing garden there’s a VERY loud mosque right outside window... but if that doesn’t bother you then it’s a nice place for a few days

Great hotel and great value in Trabzon
Loved this hotel. It has everything you need with a great breakfast and nice secluded terrace garden. The staff are always willing to help but do not know much English. The hotel overlooks the port and is less than a 10 min walk from Meydan. Close to bus station too. Felt very safe as a solo female. Hotel is right above the area where there is a dolmus station and you can take a direct dolmus to Sümela from there. I really recommend it!

Not Your Average Hotel
The Hotel Itself.. This place is far from your average cookie-cutter chain hotel. It's a tall and slender hybrid between a large house and small mansion. Slanted roof, creeky wooden hallways, circular stairs - it's straight outta Transylvania. However, its old-old school style does not mean it will not meet the needs of the modern traveler. My rooms was equipped with AC, a remodeled bathroom, comfortable bedding, and a window that opens 100%. An exceptional feature: a shared garden patio to relax in at night. The location... The hotel is just under a 10 min walk from the central area of Trabzon. From there you can enjoy a plethora of eateries, shops, legitimate tour operators and people-watch in the open square (it gets most lively after 8p). The airport (TZX) is a taxi fare of approx. 25 Turkish Lira ($6-7) and only a 10 min ride. The main bus station (otogar) is about a 10 min drive via a dolmous, or mini bus. The fare is 1.75 lira and dolmous run every 10 min.There's also another otogar for doulmas only (sort of alike a transit center) that's a 10 min walk away. It's best used to reach other parts of the city. Most Importantly.. The staff is comprised of young men who are are not only hospitable but very helpful in finding the best way to get around. One even hand-wrote a note for me in Turkish to show a dolmous driver. Their friendliness made each trip to the lobby a welcomed one. They were a tremendous help and more than willing to assist me!
