We have stayed at the Mantra several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it so were keen to return. This time we booked with Expedia which in turned used another of its companies, Vrbo, who in turn used a management agent for a privately owned apartment at the Mantra.
The apartment was advertised as being suitable for 4 people so we booked and travelled as a family of 4, understanding that a sofa bed in the lounge would need to be used to accommodate us all.
Upon arrival we found that one section of shutters covering the door to the balcony were missing, meaning that light came at night into the lounge where the sofa bed was and that there was no privacy for those sleeping in there. The shutters had clearly been missing for some time.
We raised the issue with both Expedia/Vrbo and also the management company but nothing was done to address and 2 months later I’ve not had any contact from Expedia/Vrbo and when I call them they say it’s an issue I have to address with the management company which is incorrect.
I don’t believe the property is properly advertised, as it is not suitable for 4 people in this condition, and if I had known the situation I would not have booked.
It’s really a shame as the resort is lovely but the customer service from both Expedia/Vrbo and the management agent has been appalling.
