As first-year guests, Bob and I found this exceptional place to stay perfect for us. As in many great projects, It is a work in progress. Our room was fantastic, the kitchen, breakfast, and sitting areas as well as the other guest rooms are all fitted out. There is ongoing work, but joining into the conversation of how the inn is coming along was part of the wonderfulness. Jerry and Josefina are the best hosts--bright, energetic, well travelled themselves, and most of all, fascinating people. They were full of information about how to enjoy Gotland and savvy at sussing out what we might be interested to hone in on what advice to give. The home made breads at breakfast are a specialty of the house. Their emphasis on healthy offerings and locally produced ingredients truly set them apart. We loved the central location, making it easy to cover the whole island without having to contend with the crowds of Visby, the capital. Furnishings and treasures from Hong Kong and Africa plus contemporary flair in decor sure enriches this experience. Be sure to catch the sunset from their upstairs balcony! We can't wait to get back for an even longer stay and see how their plan to become self-sustaining by producing their own foodstuffs is coming along. Get ready for some laid-back pampering.
