"Very very conveniently located! It's about ten minutes from Volcanoes National Park, and not too far from other areas of interest as well. We visited from Kona so the difference in climate was extremely refreshing. Love the consideration placed in the small things too, like heated blankets and individual space heaters. It does get a little chilly in the evening at that altitude but I love the cooler nights. Thanks for the opportunity to stay!"

"Loved the view from the living room, dining room, and lanai - 180 degrees of ocean. We even saw whales!!The hosts were very responsive. We had trouble with a bedroom light, they had it fixed the next day. And when the power went out while we were away, they texted to warn us, and supplied flashlights and drinking water to make sure we'd be OK.I can't recommend this place enough!! Next time we travel to Hawaii I hope it's available!"

"This is a 10 stay. The house is in a lush gardenic setting in a very quiet neighborhood. Christine was an excellent host and saw to our every need. The house was immaculately, clean with a beautiful upstairs balcony overlooking our lush yard. A wonderful place to have your morning cup of coffee. "This was the perfect house for the 8 adults and one child. There is lots of room to spread out and relax. The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and were huge with plenty of room. We all used the large lanai all the time and dined outside most meals. There are rules but this is a residential area and is very quiet. We enjoyed our stay here very much. It is only about 5 minutes into Hilo, some of the waterfalls are close by, and the Lavaloha chocolate tour was great and close by."

"We loved this location, so near the national park as well as restaurants in Volcano. The atmosphere around the house was also amazing. So many plants that we never see on the mainland where we live. We did have one small problem which was attended to right away. I both recommend this and would come here again if I ever travel to Hawai'i again."

"Location is perfect for visiting Volcano National Park - just 5 minutes away by car and even less to the small village of Volcano. House setting is just as the picture appears. Open living room, dining and kitchen with a gas fireplace was where we gathered. If the weather had been better (we had quite a bit of rain), I'm sure we would have made use of wrap around open porch with gas grill. Working with Matt was extremely easy and he even provided short how-to videos for operating appliances....

"We had a lovely stay! The garden is perfectly serene and secluded. Everything was clean. The outdoor shower is AMAZING. The check-in process was extremely easy, though we did have to reach out to the host to confirm the process. We would have loved sheets on the bed in addition to the blankets. All in all, an absolutely wonderful stay. "
