My partner and I loved our stay at Aladdin camp! We got to stay in the panoramic glass room and we loved looking out at the stars at night. The staff were very nice and the room was clean. We enjoyed doing a sunset camel ride through the dessert. The food for dinner was very good. We would totally stay here again.

Out of this world Experience
Amazing, one of a kind experience. I believe Haitham and Alamir are the owners and they were so nice and accommodating. I booked a jeep tour with them and Bahaa our driver/tour guide showed us the beauty of Wadi Rum in 2 hours, from sunrise, dunes, lawrence of arabia, old man face, petroglyphs and the nice view point. Aladdin Camp team went above and beyond.

We were transported by truck after we parked to the base of a desert mountain. We were greeted very enthusiasticly by everyone there. The camp was right up against the mountain. All the huts were air-conditioned with a private bath. You can Stargaze, ride a camel, or hike and so much more. The motif is Bedouin ,the breakfast and supper were traditional and very delicious. Highly recommend if you are willing to go outside your comfort zone.

It's an incredible location, but the property is in poor condition. For example, all the footpath lights are broken or not present, the rooms need a makeover, and the showers are clogged with scale and not working. It's missing the authentic Bedouin vibe. Additionally, the generator is very loud and annoying in the beautiful silence of the desert. What is really annoying is that it was not made clear that you have to leave your car at a pick-up point and then be picked up to head to the camp, which was very confusing. Disappointingly, we were told that check-out was at 11, but the electricity was cut off before 10, and we were then called at 10, saying that we had to check out. This is very bad, as it left us without electricity and made us melt inside a greenhouse with 45 degrees Celsius without AC! Please note that on Expedia, the check-out time is stated as noon.

Great location, stayed in a dome tent which we were excited for but the tent was plastic window so it was hard to see out of and didn’t really give that full effect of feeling like you could watch the outside from the inside. Also the blinds weren’t very good the other tents had their outdoor lights on the whole time so because of the sea through plastic window it was bright the whole night. But the camp was super lovely and the food was great.

Fantastic off grid camp experience
Pick up at the car park went smoothly and and the trip on the back of the truck was ok. Arrived at the camp surrounded by the most wonderful rock outcrops and scenery. Despite not having our booking in their system we were made to feel at ease whilst the manager sorted things with their central booking. We stayed 2 nights in panoramic pods and they were very comfortable with great night sky views, only slight complaint (being picky) the post of the bed obscured the view from the window, The food was fantastic with traditional Jordanian and Bedouin cuisine on offer. Just a note take some cash with you for the bar as drinks are not provided with dinner. Take advantage of he trips they offer. The stargazing was a great 2 hrs using high spec telescopes and presentation from an astronomer. The jeep safari was also great and pay the extra for them to prepare lunch for you in the desert. In summary great place with spectacular scenery for a rest of the senses off grid.

Aladdin Camp cancelled our booking at the last minute and moved us to Yasmina. This review is of Yasmina which was awful and my friend got stung by a scorpion in her room. We then spent a day at Aqaba hospital. The staff were excellent but the room & facilities extremely disappointing and not what we booked or expected. Were not even given the equivalent type of room nor a discount for the inconvenience.

Perfectly situated in Wadi Rum. Away from roads. Took a wonderful Jeep tour and Camel ride. The geodesic dome in which we stayed was really fun. The dinner buffet was nice, but a little chaotic, with the queuing. We weren’t especially thrilled with the techno-music afterwards…and, in retrospect, we should have done the star gazing. One of the employees noted my kaffiyeh was improperly done and he took the liberty of fixing it. I was thrilled he did that and I was able to learn exactly how to do it myself, with the help of my wife, who observed the proper technique. I finally looked like Lawrence of Arabia! The only thing I would suggest to the camp would be to have a belly dancer. My wife says: “more bathroom towels and some chairs on the porch.” Overall, you will not go wrong with Aladdin Camp. Don’t think, just book! Bedouin hospitality at its finest!

Wadi Rum is amazing! This camp was pretty good but I do have suggestions for improvement. The staff is excellent and the manager Mohammad is really great. It's too bad that there is no WiFi area anywhere in the camp where guests can get Wifi or a cell signal if needed. I get that you're there to be disconnected from the world and not having any connection in the tent is fine, but the dining room area should have some basic connection. I had a bubble tent and it was nice but it is starting to get a bit run down- the bubble had been repaired it appeared and you could see a big seam across it which marred the view, the curtains are starting to fall off the rail at the top, there were water stains on the doors and other areas, one of the bed side lamps didn't work, the plugs were problematic, the shower head wouldn't easy stay upright and kept falling over, etc. All of these are minimal issues but they add up on your overall impression and for the price you pay you are expecting more. Oh, and the old jalopy truck they sent to pick me up at the parking lot broke down halfway to the camp but the driver was able to fix it and get it going again. Most of my problems were with the Expedia listing rather than the place itself. I didn't pay in advance and connection to pay with a credit card there is very spotty. There was no indication that American Express wouldn't be accepted and this needs to be clearly stated. Also, no laundry available.

Good property, staff and management. Quality of food was really good, I didn’t expect such good food in the middle of the desert. We hired two bubble tents and the curtains were ripped, doors are very hard to lock and open. Overall good place to stay.

Scammed
We arrived twenty minutes before check in to the random parking lot they asked us to park at, which was just a sand lot. We has messaged the whatsapp number as directed when we were 15 mins away. We parked beside a well official bus with "Aladdin Camp" written on the side. We called the number provided and told them we were ready to be picked up. We did not get a response for 30+ minutes until I told them we had a baby waiting. They finally arrived in a 20 year old truck to take us to camp leaving behind the well official bus and the car seat for the baby that wouldn't fit. The stay was average. Upon check-in we were escorted to a bubble tent in the back row of all the bubble tents even though we booked three nights. We saw many people given front row bubble tents who were only staying one night stays. This matters because if the tents leave their porch lights on in front of you its harder to see the sky. It rained both nights we were there and the bubble tents leaked ruining a few toys we have brought for the baby. We booked 2 tours with the camp. The first one was ok. On the second tour a three hour Jeep tour, they took us off the park reserve. I felt something was off when no one was at the locations and tea houses he took us to. One of the stops he claimed was Mushroom rock. Upon ending the trip I easily compared our photos and it did not match the real attraction. Essentially we were scammed. We asked for transportation to our car at 8am, and had to wait until 9:30.

Best choice!!! I had researched LOADS of camps and was anxious to see if I had made the best choice, both in terms of bubbles and location and this property was AMAZING! I saw many others on the road in and on my jeep tour and did not find any better.. The location of the camp is in the desert… so many others that are well promoted (ex Luxotel) are actually off the Highway 😳. This camp has a beautiful layout, great amenities and is run with heart. The service provided by the owners at the camp is top notch There was some lag in email communication, by one day, but don’t let that dissuade you. It’s worth it to be patient. I stayed in a bubble dome with a Mountain View and it was very comfortable with all the comforts of heat, AC, private bathroom. They provide quick service from the visitor center to the camp. The 6 hour jeep tour was wonderful.. I LOVED my stay here. I learned Camp Aladdin was formed by 5 friends just before the pandemic and they are gracious and accommodating and happy to finally be able to realize their dream in the desert and help you realize yours.

Fun and unique camp easy to drive to.
Incredible location, food was surprisingly tasty and plentiful, geo done tents were very comfortable and restful. We went during a rainstorm and the parking lot was totally flooded and muddy. Thankfully the shuttle driver helped us remove our rental van safely. The road to the parking area is paved all the way from the highway. Be sure to bring drinking water and any duty free beverages you want since the camp charges 1 or 2 dinar for cups of tea and water and they only have 0.0 beer. Camp organizer is friendly and helpful and their “Jeep tours” are basic and about 60 dinar per vehicle which fits 6 persons for 3 hours. They will try and push the 4 or full day tour even if you arrive at 1pm and sunset is at 4pm. Don’t do it…keep it simple and stick to the 3 hour these are really basic trucks and 4 hours will be annoying for anybody. Food was delicious and all you can eat and all dietary restrictions are good to go here. Petra is 2 hours from here and the shuttles back to the parking lot begin at 8am. This is important since we wanted to get an early start to Petra but had to wait with everyone else and by the time you arrive to Petra it’s slammed with tour busses and people. No WiFi or ATM or cell service at the camp so know that going in. Pay the extra for the dome tents it’s worth it.

It was the best experience. Except that we had torrential downpours at night and our suitcase, clothes and laptop bag got wet with water seeping down from the walls of our tent. the floor and mat on the floor was soaking wet. i hear that rain does not happen like it did that night we were there. I guess it was a fluke rain night. The food and people were the best! I would totally go there again minus the rain.

Wadi Rum is an amazing destination and it’s worth the visit. The camp is okay. The food was not to our liking at all. I would highly recommend to do lunch before arriving as they serve leftovers from the previous evening dinner and it’s pretty bad. Dinner and breakfast were edible. We had a panoramic Geodisk tent and it was okay. They only offered two bath towels and no hand towels or bath floor mat. The bathroom does not have any place to put toiletries or place to even put your soap in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the accommodations were fairly clean. The outdoor seating area is not very clean and very challenging to eat outside during the day with a million flies. They do go away for dinner and breakfast since it gets cold. All in all, we survived the one night at the camp and got to enjoy a jeep tour with sunset in the desert, so it was worth it.
