"We stayed here for two nights to be central to a couple day trips and wish we could stay longer. The property was well taken care of and comfortable. Very spacious. Slept really well. The hosts were considerate, with fresh cut flowers and sweets for the kids. There's some Alpaca, sheep, chickens, and cows on site which is exciting for the kids. Will definitely try to stay here next time I'm near Hamilton. "

"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. "This home was good for a 2 night trip. We were in the area to see Hobbiton, glow worm caves, and do a hot air balloon. This was a central location for all three. The lake across the street was pleasant and enhanced the trip. Great for morning workout/walk. Around the corner was a workout station that got the job done. There were only 2 bathrooms and showers. The host was responsive and friendly. The courtyard was nice for reading. "

"It was just as described but a too small for 4 adults. Great for family for one night. Very close to Black water caves, it was perfect for that. The Fat Kiwi Cafe is a must visit just 9 minutes down the road. Missed a stove but the BBQ was a great improvision. Very cool concept. "

"Thanks for an awesome long weekend - we explored a little bit of Cambridge & discovered how cool it was. The local shops, Saturday market & bike hires were all really easy. There’s a great Lake walk minutes away & amazing local Italian for dinner. Thanks for making it easy to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely, welcoming touch."

"My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. I highly recommend going on the farm tour if you can - the tour is usually included for people staying at one of the hostess's properties, and includes the opportunity to meet sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, emus, and ostriches. "It's a villa - so it has it's quirks. But that's the beauty of it and Tracey was always quick to answer our call whenever we discovered said quirks. The beds are divine and we had the best nights sleep. The facilities are great - everything you need when you're at a week long event at Lake Karapiro. Only issue for a "sports family" was no microwave to heat up the carb meals and limited space in the fridge for all our meal and lunch supplies - which was also due to the array of lovely...
