"We had a great stay at Cornhill Castle. Alice at reception welcomed us and let us know she would be available for any further assistance if required. I did ask if the heating could be turned up in our room as it was particularly cold. This was dealt with immediately by offering us another room or a mini electric radiator. We opted for the latter. The Dining room and bar area were also both cold so I'm not sure if there had been a problem with the heating system. It didn't spoil our stay though. "

"What a find! We enjoyed a fantastic 2-night stay at Cormiston Farm while attending a wedding at nearby Cornhill Castle. The grand Georgian house retains a wealth of original features and the views from the bedrooms are stunning. Richard was a very welcoming, accommodating host and breakfast was excellent. We are eager to return to explore this lovely part of the country, and will definitely book dinner next time (and sample some of Richard's extensive whisky collection!)"

"We received a very warm welcome by the duty managers. They were very understanding when we requested a later check in as we were traveling all the way from Inverness. Nothing was a problem at all. We stayed for two nights and breakfast both mornings was amazing. Thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. We will definitely be back when we can. "

"The staff and food were fantastic. The hotel was being refurbished, but we were not informed about it, until we arrived. It involved, quite a convoluted detour around back stairs to get to our room, and those areas were very dusty. On the plus side, they did give a small discount as redress, but I felt it was still very overpriced for the stay."

"Staff extremely helpful under tricky conditions. With storm we had no electricity from 8am on 24th and still not connected this morning when I left. Staff put on a log stove in Bistro,managed to do teas n coffees on small gas heater, supplied good battery lamps for each resident, Manager even carefully drove in evening into part of Lanark with power and brought back a meal for an older person staying for BnB, She would not take money for that. Ever staff member there did much more that needed...
