"Lovely 2-bedroom home with beautiful views, no tv or wi-fi so it’s perfect for those who want to switch off and relax. Rural road and steep driveway but worth the trip. Good kitchen, open plan living area but we found the main bed was very firm. Our host, Joanna, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. "

"Stayed over for 2 nights here, while attending a large family and community event re my brother who died in April. We were very comfortable here, and the cottage is very attractive, obviously historic. It was super-well equipped with everything you'd need. Easy access from the road, close to the Kohukohu village, and a clear view across the harbour in front. Thankyou for having us, we'd come again if the need or opportunity arose. "

"We arrived to check in after booking our stay in mid August, this was confirmed by Expedia/Book a Bach and our payment taken. When we arrived to check in on 30 December the hotel staff could find no record of our booking. They tried everything to see where our booking was. "Great location from which to explore the Hokianga and further afield. The house is very well equipped and the beds are super comfy. Shannon is a pleasure to deal with and responded promptly when we had a challenge. We would certainly stay here again if we visited the Hokianga again to finish exploring the area."

"This listing is more then just a tad misleading... It says pet friendly, but no secure area for the dogs or any shelter. Leaving about 1sqm for the pets inside when it rains. The use of space in a tiny home is probably the worst ive seen. A big bed with ZERO use of wall space for storage. No toilet scrubber for the toilet is one of the finer details they are missing here.
