Perfect wooded getaway!
Beautiful cabin with plenty of space. The fire pit was a hit in the evenings and the river was right off the lot. The water was very low but it was beautiful to sit or walk the path and still enjoy it.

Yearly family trip
My family and I take a trip every year. We change locations every time but this one is going on the list to visit again. Such a beautiful cabin in an amazing location. The gentleman that takes care of the cabin was so extremely helpful and kind during our trip. He even droves us up river. The owner of the property was very fast at responding and helpful the whole time!

Family Weekend
Very nice, secluded property. Cabin was very large and roomy. Game area in basement, fire pit, beautiful kitchen and plenty of space for all to eat and play games. The grill did not work, quick pivot for dinner one night. The caretaker of the property was amazing and so helpful! We enjoyed a float down the river. Lots to do in the area. Owner very responsive and great communication. Would absolutely return. verycommuniquestionWould

Great winter weekend
Really enjoyed this place. Beautiful cabin, well-appointed. Stayed with 7 people, including 2 couples. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable--more so than many large cabins you'll find for rent. The main room with vaulted ceilings is a great hang-out spot. Property is pretty and secluded. Coordination with rental agent was painless. Wausaukee area is nice--not as hectic as Eagle River area, and was a manageable 4.5 hr-ish drive for us from Chicago.

Very nice cottage, NO wifi
Very nice! I wish there were less bugs and we could have enjoyed the outdoors more. The house was beautiful. There are was no wifi which was inconvenient since there is no cellular connection in the area. I would suggest taking extra items with you. The bedrooms are fairly nice, there is a very cute room for toddlers not to be mistaken for anyone beyond 5. Very small bunk bed. It was clean. The recycling and trash were confusing. The closest gas station is about 10 miles away. The river is not suited for fishing. Overall, a very nice house.

Private Cabin
Overall, the house was nice. It has that genuine cabin feel and is nice and private. The outdoor decks and screened in porch were great places to hang out. There seemed to be some mosquito management close to the house, which made being outside at night possible. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and household gadgets available. One of the bunk beds listed is not a traditional bunk bed. It is crib sized and not usable by anyone over 3 feet tall. This derailed some of our sleeping arrangements as all 10 guests were adult couples. Also, one of the showers (basement) is not usable because it only has boiling hot water. No matter which way you turn the knob, only boiling hot water comes out. The smart tv that is listed does not work because there is no internet. However, there are movies available to play. The air hockey table is broken in many places but gives just enough air to play a slow game. The basketballs for the basketball game are all deflated. The location of the house is really nice because it is private. It didn’t take us long to figure out how to navigate the backroads. There is also plenty of parking. We had 6 vehicles and a boat and there was enough space.

Family getaway
Our group of 14 came from all over Wisconsin and we absolutely loved this cabin! It’s incredibly kid friendly having a baby gate, games and toys. Communication with Joseph was very easy but NOT via the Vrbo app which is on not his fault at all. When I raised concerns about communication he called me and we had a quick chat but they were incredibly kind and had good tips. It is August in WI so while mosquitoes are unavoidable, we did notice less than normal. We brought our own mosquitoe repellent and repellent aids and it helped so much. The photos don’t do this place justice. It was very roomy for all of us. The only things I would suggest are to have the floor cleaned more regularly. When we spilled water and wiped it up there was a ton of dirt that came up as well. We had babies crawling all over so we were just more mindful of that. Also that the toilets flushed slower but that wasn’t too too big of a deal. Something I would offer advice on is to have a “when you leave” instructions. We have stayed at rentals before so we just made sure to leave the house how we found it but also stripped the beds. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere if we needed too but we did it anyways. Wifi: our group made it a point to not be on our phones as much but no one noticed a lag in wifi or bad service. Kitchen: bare min, will need to bring your own things. This place truly helped create core memories for us! We loved it so much and have already stated we want to make this a yearly trip.

Lovely house
The grounds and house were excellent. Warm, sunny, and well-stocked. Unfortunately, much of the walkable area, including the river-adjacent firepit, was flooded. That wouldn't normally be the case (the waters were starting to recede by the end) , but it did cut us off from the waterfront.

Wooded and beautiful!
This property was perfect for our family weekend away! It was beautiful and spacious enough for our family to sprawl out and not be on top of one another. There were plenty of activities for the kids as well and we all really enjoyed hiking around! The only downfall was that the power went out for several hours and we could not find any working flashlights, we had to run into town to the family dollar to buy some flashlights because it gets REALLY dark in there when the suns not shining. Also all of the nightlight bulbs were burned out so it was hard to get the kids to sleep. Otherwise this property came fully stocked and was great! We had a wonderful weekend!

Very quite - Very nice
Very nice property, very quite and really a place to unwind. There is no tv, internet or cell service so if you are a electronic junky you are in for a shock. Otherwise if you want to get away from it all. This is for you.

Weekend Getaway for group of 14 - 8 June-10 June
We rented this property for a group of 14 people for our weekend getaway and it is a pleasure to inform that this has been a surprisingly pleasant experience for us all. Some of the pros and cons are listed below:- Pros: -5 excellent bedrooms which are spacious with an additional bedroom for toddlers which was pretty cute -Fully equipped kitchen with all necessary utensils, cutlery, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher - all in working condition. -No WIFI - I feel this was an added for us benefit because we wanted it to be a gadget free weekend and it helped us achieve the goal. -Absolutely stunning surroundings amidst the woods -A very nice grilling and a campfire spot which helped us all sit together and have a fun time -Plenty of firewood -Game room in the basement was also an added bonus which is suitable for kids. Cons: -The couch in the living room is a bit old -Plenty of bugs & Mosqitoes outside which is expected. Carry repellants if you plan on staying outdoors -The river is not suitable for any water activities like tubing, swimming or fishing. Also, the wooden steps into the river and dock were broken and the canoe is not useable. The pictures of Dock are very old in the website. Overall it was a very nice experience and I definitely recommend this place. Please be aware that there will be little or no cell phone connectivity. Hence, take the needed precautions in case you are in dire need of a network.

Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekend
Our group of 11 stayed at this rental for a weekend for our bachelor/bachelorette party. We were blown away by how beautiful the entire property is. The pictures don't do it justice. Friday we arrived late at night but we loved how the rental was tucked away into the deep woods and close to the river. Saturday we set up bags by the fire pit and relaxed. There is plenty of firewood there! We spent a lot of time in the gorgeous main living room and we gathered everyone downstairs on the sectional couch to play games at night. For the 11 of us, there was more than enough space to be comfortable. FYI there is no Wifi or cell reception (enough to maybe send texts and maybe phone calls but not much.) Also, check out is 11 am, but we called/texted the rental manager and she let us extend our check out time which was very nice! It's better to ask than to not ask at all. Some highlights not shown above: - The master bathroom shower....just be surprised! - The children's bedroom has a cute little bunk bed as well as a loft tree house with a small cubby hole underneath! All of us adults thought it was so cute and we wish we had kids to enjoy it. We all would plan on returning to this rental in the future and make it a tradition of kicking back and relaxing in the wilderness. :)

Excellent northern wisconsin retreat
Excellent property and home. We all enjoyed our stay with plenty of space in the well maintained house as well as a fantastic outdoor space with no neighboring homes in sight. I would recommend to anyone looking for a secluded peaceful retreat in northern Wisconsin!

Great for Family Vacation
Great spot for a family vacation, had both our married children and their kids there - home is large enough where everyone could have their own space yet offered great rooms where we could also gather. Deck facing the river was perfect, large fire pit was fun, and walk to the pier and canoe was also part of the whole experience. Be sure and visit Dave's Falls, minutes away and very scenic.

Nice place and location, poor service
I stayed at this cabin with a group of graduate students for two nights. The property is as described, the cabin is nice and there are plenty of amenities. The location is remote and woodsy and the cabin has a cozy feel to it. However, you do not meet with anyone regarding logistics of staying there. The place is run by a rental company and not the homeowners. I accidentally left my Pendleton scarf (lovely and expensive!) behind after the stay. I contacted the company and asked if they could give me the name of the cleaning service or they could contact them to try and retrieve the scarf (and that I would pay to have it sent to me!) I received a reply that they must be cleaning the day I contacted them because she hadn't heard anything. The following day, I received an email that simply said, "Sorry but we won't be able to return the scarf. The cleaning crew disposed of it already. Articles of clothes they said they don't keep. Jewelry & electronics they do for a 1 week timeframe" If you feel you may leave something behind be aware that their policy is to throw it away! If I return to the Northern Wisconsin I will not be staying here again!

Family Gathering and Getaway
This place was amazing and truly like living in the wilderness. The house was gorgeous and spacious. They had everything that you need there. The phones not getting reception made everyone disconnect and enjoy the family. The deck was big enough to fit the whole family and have music, enjoy the scenery and company. The fishing was amazing and so were the boats to relax on the river. The trails were great for the kids to go and explore. They only wished to see more animals. The owner / agency was very helpful and answered all my questions promptly and gave us very good directions to the property. When we arrived the house was very clean and looked just like the pictures. My family always rent places to relax and enjoy time together and we will definitely go back again. I would definitely recommend this house to family and friends.

Texas Family
My family and I rented this property for a 2 week get away vacation and we were so please with not just the cabin but the land itself. What a treat to sit on the deck and watch deer in the lawn. Seeing bald eagles on the river was a daily treat. The adults and kids all 'unplugged' during our stay and enjoyed all the beauty of the north woods. Our experience was even better than we had anticipated! We will be planning our next stay very soon.

Just be ready for Mosquitos.Bring your repellent.Great trails to ride or walk through the property.Huge 2nd story deck to sit back and relax. No tv reception and Verizon 4 g smart phone was pretty slow. WOW!!!! Amazing retreat with access to all outdoor activities!
My family and I visited the amazing up north cabin and we were blown away by how amazing this was. We are not what you would consider "up north" camping/outdoors kind of people and we were pleasantly suprised when we arrived. The cabin was very clean and spacious. It felt more like a luxury home than it did an up north cabin. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and never once did we feel cramped for space. We were up there with four other family's with a total of 16 people and everyone had a blast! There are snowmobile trails that can be picked up right off the property, 4 wheeling trails, panaromic views that were amazing to take in, a fire pit to hang around at night and so much more. We can't wait to go back and experience this again in the summer where we can take advantage of the river, fishing, boating, etc... All I can say is "Amazing Place"!!!

We had a great time!
We stayed at this beautiful, north woods home in mid-July. We were a group of about 8, and we found everything to be very comfortable and very clean, plenty of room for all of us. The home is spacious and well-stocked with bedding, cook ware, and outdoor furniture. The birds and wildlife in general, were stunning. Every morning and evening deer strolled up and stayed in our huge and open forest yard!!! We spent every day on the rivers nearby, and though it was hard to leave such a beautiful place each day to go kayaking, it was so wonderful coming back late afternoon to such a beautiful and comfortable home! We are all kayakers and really enjoyed being close to so many beautiful rivers. One of the days during our visit was too hot to kayak, and we found relief from the heat as well as great swimming at 12 Foot Falls. Don't miss this beautiful park. We are looking forward to returning next year; so many more miles of beautiful river left to explore! Thank-you for making our stay so memorable and so comfortable~
