Brilliant place to stay with hosts Jackie & Steve providing a base to literally be right in the centre of Christchurch… the tram stops right out side The Classic Vilas. Large rooms and a well equipped bathroom. Dining for the large continental breakfast was in very pleasant surroundings and proper tea and coffee available all day and night. Crucially the bonus is that a bottle of port is out in the evening for when you come in. Extremely pleased we chose this place and would recommend a couple of day s stay

Nice eco-friendly hotel. Decent breakfast, good dinner options. 15-minute walk down a fairly steep road to downtown with plenty of excellent dining options. Fantastic views of the lake from our room.
