Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Front desk staff was very nice and efficient. Good man. The room had lots of light!! Finally, a hotel with decent lighting! Good sized room, A/C worked well, and the balcony was nice to have. All the appliances and amenities worked well. Overall, a nice place to crash after a long day on the road.

The property was good for the price except the walls are super thin. The staff were kind enough to allow me to move rooms my first night after I dealt with inconsiderate people above me being noisy for a few hours. Once in the second room, it was much quieter, but I could still hear every movement above and in the room beside me. Also, the power went out in the whole facility one evening for 3.5 hours which was an inconvenience. You would think they would have some type of back up generator for a motel that size.

I’ve stayed at several Motel6s and this one is definitely the most well kept and clean. Decor wise they all look the same, but there weren’t stains on the rug by the door, cracked or broken walls or tub or old paint. Lots of parking and in the morning I saw multiple maids/janitors cleaning the property. Check in was so quick I was in my room in just a couple minutes. The location is very convenient and close to everything. I would definitely stay again when visiting mammoth (there’s no other Motel6 I’d go back to).
