Sumptuously appointed and designed for relaxing, entertaining and feels like a private resort. Fully stocked kitchen two separate living areas with ample size master suite and private bedrooms with views. Laundry available for guest staying for extended stay only upon request during booking. Swim spa is hot and ready to enjoy. Outdoor lounge and dining. Large yard w/Joshua trees, star gazing hammocks and fire pit. A retreat you will long to return to. Minutes to town. NO evebts or no loud noise after 9pm city ordinance.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The location provides amazing access to Joshua Tree National Park. Our early morning hikes watching the sunrise over the hills was amazing.

The Lodge is an amazing place to stay, in an amazing place!
The Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, and is generously stocked with everything a family needs to have a relaxing and luxurious vacation. The house is well-thought through, with some wonderful architectural surprises. The outdoors seating, eating, and spa-pool areas are fantastic, and we spent each evening outside as a result. The kitchen is fantastic and well-stocked for making meals. The bedrooms are clean and comfy - with the master suite being very spacious. The Lodge is within easy walking distance of Black Rock Canyon hikes, and the scenery from the driveway is breathtaking!

A Great Way to Visit Joshua Tree National Park
This is a beautiful house right on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park and my husband and I had a wonderful time vacationing with my daughter, her husband and our 3 grandsons, plus the eldest boy’s best friend. The house met all of our needs in every way. After 15 minutes exploring the house and yard and a dip in the spa, my 8 year old grandson pronounced it the best vacation he ever had! He held that opinion throughout our stay. The rest of us had a mighty fine time as well.

Great location, nice decor, some considerations.
We had a great stay with our family of 8 adults (one child, and one baby). Pros: Great location, right alongside the Joshua Tree N.P., so you can walk out the front door and see the trees / hills. Hiking trails nearby. The house is very nicely decorated, with a layout that provides separated areas. Check-in was smooth, and the host was very responsive to our questions/asks. The outdoor space was nice for hanging out too, in a quiet residential area. Considerations: This property might not work well for more older folks (especially those who aren't very stable or adept on their feet). Why? The staircase to access the upstairs bedrooms is not "to code", meaning the spacing isn't what your mind/feet expect -- creating a considerable stumbling hazard. The handrail on the stair isn't sufficiently compensating either (it's hard to hold a good grip). Also, we found the space (inc. kitchen) not quite as clean as you might expect. Perhaps that was a one-off though, something the host can easily improve. Overall, we'd recommend (but be careful on the stairs!)

Perfect location!
We had a very relaxing stay! The location of the house was amazing. The views and wild life was perfect. We saw an owl hunting and many birds. The house is very close to hiking trails. The hot tub was warm and comfortable. We were not able to use the fire pit due to very windy conditions the second day. The yard needs a little yard work and a couple of the screens are broken but the house has some really fun and modern touches. I would stay at this house again.

Birthday trip
We had the best time! Celebrated my birthday with 8 other women. The house was great and Barry made sure we had everything we needed. He even sent people over to help us with the pellet stove. We really enjoyed the swim spa, outdoor fire pit and the hammocks were awesome for star gazing. I love the area and will be back. Thank you Barry for a wonderful experience!

The house is very well located and comfortable. It has all the amenities you needs and the host is super fast and easy to communicate with. I particularly enjoyed the bed in the master bedroom, which has a memory foam topper and is therefore super comfortable 🙂

Great spacious spot
10 friends stayed here for a wedding weekend in Joshua Tree. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with lots of outdoor hang spaces, and we enjoyed the swim spa! The location is a short drive from the Joshua Tree national park entrance and the town of Joshua Tree business establishments. Barrie was a great host to communicate with leading up to the trip.

Beautiful home!!
The owner did an amazing job of completely renovating this home. It was clean and comfortable with easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. I was surprised and pleased to find Starbucks coffee and other condiments not offered in many East Coast VRBOs. I recommend a stay here and a visit to Joshua Tree.

We opted for a VRBO instead of a bunch of hotel rooms on a recent trip to Joshua Tree NP. Easy check in. Everything as expected. Didn’t get to try the spa pool but next time. Owner was quick to answer our few questions. There were chocolates and wine waiting for us. Stove has a child safety took a moment to figure it out. Lots of kitchen utensils and pans skillets etc. for cooking. Fire pit was awesome. Comfy beds in all bedrooms. Would definitely recommend this property and thanks for a great stay!

Perfect home for a family reunion!
The house was absolutely wonderful! Large spacious & clean. We loved the very stylish modern decor especially the lighting which was absolute art throughout the house. I rented the house because of the large yard for a big family gathering. We enjoyed the Adirandack chairs by the gas fire pit & also the big outdoor dining table. Also the hammocks were delightful! We also really appreciated the wonderful supply of cozy blankets available for indoor & outdoor use! Thanks for being a super host!
