"Perfect for staying by the Inselsee for a couple of days. Beautiful location by the lake. Maybe better to come with a car, but 15 min walk there are occasional buses to train station also. "A very loud fire alarm went off at 4am and went on for quite a while. I was already running on the stairs when it stopped. Goodbye sleep. The following morning I was expecting some apologies but no. When I mentioned it, the guy at the reception very cheerfully said "Oh, that. Yes, there was no fire, it was just a coffee machine. But so we know that the alarm works!" Which is Mecklenburg-Vorpommern idea of sense of humour, maybe."

The Reception staff was very good and very friendly. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The bed was very hard, but the mattress was of good quality. "Easy access via Bus 25 from Hbf, up 3 stops to Schroederplatz, and then Motel One is right there and also very close to the Kropeliner Tor and the main shopping district and old town. Although my room directly faced towards the Christmas markets and the children’s rides across the street, I barely heard the noise from my room. Breakfast buffet was fairly standard, no complaints. I do wish there was a coffee/tea maker in my room; however. Overall, good value and location."
