What you can expect

We set off on a 3.5 hour drive from San Luis Potosí across the Sierra madre oriental to get to Tanchachin, a small town, home of the landmark to be visited. There, we'll get ready to get wet, and after a 2600 feet walk, we'll get to the pier, where we'll take our ores, and row on our boat through 6.2 miles up the river, in order to get to see the majestic waterfall of Tamul. On our way back, we'll have the chance to swimm among a couple of rapids in a section of the river, of course we'll be wearing our PFD's (Personal Flotation Device) at all times. We'll make a stop at the “water cave” a waterspring that comes from the mountain and floods a cave where we can take a dive to refresh before continuing or ride back to land. Finally, we'll have a full huasteca meal, at a local restaurant, before departing on our journey back to the city.
