If your visit falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, you can also enjoy a traditional Andalusian horse dance show at The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, a renowned riding school that houses a carriage museum. For lunch, you can dine at a local bar while savouring the flavours of the region and even witnessing an exhilarating flamenco performance, all while sampling the famous local sherry wine from the Sherry Triangle region west of Jerez.
After your time in Jerez, you will continue your journey to Cádiz, which is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Here, you will embark on a guided tour of the city lasting between 3 to 4 hours. Some of the highlights of your visit to Cádiz will include:
- Exploring the historic area of El Pópulo, known as the oldest inhabited area in Europe.
- Visiting the Roman theatre, a testament to the city's ancient history.
- Admiring the stunning Cathedral of Cádiz.
- Exploring the vibrant Fish Market, one of Spain's oldest markets.
- Ascending the Tavira Tower to experience the Camera Obscura, offering panoramic views of the city.
- Strolling through the La Viña area, known for its rich folklore.
- Relaxing on La Caleta Beach and enjoying a breathtaking sunset.
