Enjoy the famed WWII aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, and experience the space shuttle exhibit and the One World Trade Centre memorial with a stop at the 9/11 Memorial Pool.
With a short walk you find the American Indian Museum and Fraunces Tavern, which served as George Washington's headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Stop in front of the Stock Exchange, then cross the street to the historic Federal Hall, renovated as a Customs House in 1842, but before that was where George Washington was inaugurated as the first President of the United States.
After travelling you're ready for a hearty meal. Hard Rock Café is just the ticket, provided a lot of food and a fun atmosphere. From Times Square it's just a few blocks to the original Macy's flagship, where you can go shopping. Return to Pennsylvania Station and your train to return to Washington D.C.
