The we head to Sounion, (45 min drive) where you'll be captivated by the famous landscape surrounding the promontory. In ancient Greek times, this site was considered sacred ground dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena. Next, marvel at the Temple of Poseidon, perched 70 metres above the sea on the cliff’s edge (entry tickets not included). Walk on the revered land of Sounion, mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey, and stand on the same cliff where it is said King Aegeus threw himself off. On summer days bring your swimmsuit and explore the hidden beach behind the Temple.(not for passengers with impaired mobility) Then we get back to Athens centre to get dropped of at your preffered spot . ( Plaka Area, Omonoia, Syntagma area) admission to the Temple 8 to 10 euros Drive back to Athens aproxx 60 min
