The Wonders of Thailand's Last Lowland Rainforest, is a lush and vibrant ecosystem that showcases the rich biodiversity and pristine beauty of Thailand’s tropical landscapes. Located in the southern part of the country, this is considered one of the oldest and most unique rainforests in the world, offering a rare glimpse into an untouched natural world that has been relatively undisturbed by human activity.
Your day will begin when you are collected at your hotel between about 8.00am-8.45am. By 9.00am. you'll be enjoying a scenic journey through the countryside heading to some of the most striking natural attractions in Southern Thailand.
First stop will be at thermal spring pools enhanced by natural mineral salts. Under shaded greenery, you'll soon find that just sitting in this gently running water is ideal for swimming or soothing aching muscles.
Shortly afterwards your guide will take you on an easy and informative jungle walk in Thung Theo, an area rich in biodiversity with many species of birds, insects, lizards and small mammals calling it home.
For many, the highlight of Thung Theo is the natural lagoon with deep, warm emerald coloured clear water that is simply called 'The Emerald Pool'. This unique aquatic spectacle should be on everyone's 'must-see' list.
Before leaving the rainforest, enjoy a lunch of fried rice, Tomyam, stir-fried mixed vegetables and fruit at Ruen Morakot Restaurant.
About 5kms (3 mi). before reaching Krabi Town centre is yet another jaw-dropping attraction that is both unique and fascinating. Whilst the 1237 steps to the summit of the Tiger Cave Temple, known locally as Wat Tum Seua, may be a bit of a challenge, it is definitely worth it! Upon reaching the top you'll find large, impressive gold Buddha statues, extensive views of karst mountains, 1000 year old tress and the magnificent Krabi landscape plus, of course, the maze of caves themselves.
Although you'll be back at your hotel by about 4.00pm. you'll be wanting to hold onto the wonderful memories of this day for a very, very long time.
