"Hotel is really nice and good location by the riverside. Retains a lot of character. Good value. Room is nice and spacious and restaurant is good. Negatives: car park is too small and we couldn't park onsite on check-in (also not free). Also out hotel room was not ready on arrival and this affected our plans for the day and could only check in late at night. Finally the spa is not included in your room price which is a shame - would rather pay a bit more to have this included in the cost. Also...

"The hotel is situated next to a nature reserve , with a spa, and wellness centre. A very good location. However I found the room to have a very strong smell of damp, there was a lot of dust on top of the curtains, and lamp shades. When closing the curtains the dust fell down and the curtains were stuck along the curtain pole, I’m not sure if the room is used often enough to be thoroughly cleaned each time as it felt very damp as though it was cleaned a while ago and left. "Made it all the way to the Mercure Hotel in Bedford. For a Birthday Party. Hotel at first i though was a block of Flats. But nicer inside than out. And a nice walk by the river.
